Samy Derras (born 7 June 1988) is a French football midfielder of Algerian descent.
Derras started his football career at the French club Lyon alongside Ben Zemma and Ben Aarfa then moved to the Italian AS Rome to land in Sienna, but he was injured immediately after signing the contract with his new club, delaying his debut in the Italian league. [1]
Derras played one league match for Spartak during his almost year-long stay in Slovakia. Coach Pavel Hoftych played him in the first half of a league match against Spartak Myjava as a center forward. However, he substituted the player after the first half. [2] [3] [4]
On 25 October 2012, it was announced that Derras would be leaving Spartak, terminating his contract with the club by mutual consent. [3] [5]
