San Vittorino is a Baroque former Roman Catholic church in Cittaducale, province of Rieti, region of Lazio, Italy. Soon after completion in 1613, the church collapsed into a sinkhole, and the roofless ruins remain, with the facade sheltering a mineral-water pool that streams out the former portal. The combination of ruins and nature create an air of mystery; the church was used in some of the scenes of the movie Nostalghia .
The Ruins of Saint Paul's are the ruins of a 17th-century Catholic religious complex in Santo António, Macau, China. They include what was originally St. Paul's College and the Church of St. Paul also known as "Mater Dei", a 17th-century Portuguese church dedicated to Saint Paul the Apostle. Today, the ruins are one of Macau's best known landmarks and one of the Seven Wonders of Portuguese Origin in the World. In 2005, they were officially listed as part of the Historic Centre of Macau, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The King Street Gaol was Toronto's first jail, built in 1798 on the outskirts of York, Upper Canada. A log structure with 10 cells and a hanging yard, it was located on the south-east corner of King Street and Yonge Street, where the King Edward Hotel stands today. The jail quickly fell into disrepair, leading it to be abandoned. The east cells of the jail were completely rotten, the ceilings in the different rooms were insufficient, and the sheriff didn't feel safe when having to confine prisoners in cells or debtor's rooms. It was replaced by a brick jail in 1824.

Pwales is a settlement in St. Paul's Bay, Malta. The area was named for its marsh land, being a valley, and comes from the Latin word palus that means wetland. It is home to Is-Simar Nature Reserve, a number of farmhouses, and a church. The wetland zone was eventually named P.Wales during the British rule after the Prince of Wales. Oblivious of what P.Wales stood for, the Maltese pronounced the name as Pwales and has been known so, since.

Santa Cecília de Elins is a former Romanesque Benedictine monastery in the municipality of Montferrer i Castellbò, Catalonia, Spain, to the southeast of the village of Cassovall. It is a Bien de Interés Cultural site. The monastery was documented in 865 but fell into decline in the tenth century. On 29 December 1080 the Bishop of Urgell Bernat Guillem consecrated a new church with three altars dedicated to St. Cecilia, Virgin Mary and Santa Fe. During the fourteenth century it fell into decline and in 1383 it was reduced in status to a priory. By 1680 the monastery fell into ruins. It was converted into a farmhouse in the 1940s.
