Sand Products Corporation (SPC) is a sand and gravel supplier based in Muskegon, Michigan. [1] The company was founded on January 2, 1930, by brothers Mark and Max McKee as a company that mined and processed industrial sands. In the early 1930s, SPC began operating a large commercial dock in Muskegon, Michigan, dubbed the Mart Dock, handling a wide variety of cargoes and became deeply involved in the Great Lakes shipping industry and vessel ownership through a series of wholly owned subsidiaries and partnerships.
