Sanford is a city in Lee County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 28,518 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Lee County.

Haddington is a neighborhood in the West Philadelphia section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Washington Boulevard Historic District is a multi-block area of downtown Detroit, Michigan. It consists of structures facing Washington Boulevard between State and Clifford Streets. In 1982, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places. It includes the Book-Cadillac Hotel, the Book Tower, the Industrial Building, and Detroit City Apartments among other architecturally significant buildings. Washington Boulevard is one of the city's main boulevards and part of Augustus Woodward's 1807-design for the city. Because Woodward's plan was never completed, the boulevard contains a sharp curve south of Michigan Avenue where it was connected to an existing street.

It is roughly bounded by Taylor Avenue, Government Street, Houston Street, Kenneth Street, Springhill Avenue, and Florida Street. The district covers 467 acres (1.89 km2) and contains 1,270 contributing buildings. The majority of the contributing buildings range in age from the 1880s to the 1950s and cover a wide variety of architectural styles. The district was significantly affected by a tornado on December 25, 2012.

The former Sanford High School, also known as West Sanford Middle School, is a historic high school building located at Sanford, Lee County, North Carolina. It was designed by the firm of Wilson, Berryman & Kennedy and built in 1924-1925. It is a two-story, "L"-shaped, Classical Revival style brick building. The front facade features a slightly projecting center pavilion and terminal pavilions with concrete-faced pilasters with enriched capitals. The building houses the Lee County Art and Community Center.

McNeill House, E.L. Gavin House (1922), First Presbyterian Church of Sanford (1914), First Baptist Church (1925), the former Sanford Cotton Mill complex, and the Liles Bonded Cotton Warehouse.
