Sanguine is a British four-piece female fronted alternative metal/rock band formed in Exeter, Devon, England. They have released one EP/single/DVD "Live Consume Drive" (2008), one self-titled album Sanguine (2012) and one professional studio album Black Sheep (2016).

History

In 2008, Sanguine recorded and released their first single "Live, Consume, Drive" which featured a three-song release with two videos - "Live, Consume, Drive" and "Simplify". [1]

In early 2009, the single "Live, Consume, Drive" (LCD) was played on Kerrang! & Scuzz UK music TV stations, and radio stations across the UK, including Music Choice. [2] [3] [4] The video was also featured on Propeller TV music show TUUNES. Later in 2009 and early 2010 the single "LCD" became the theme tune for the Propeller TV show METALTUUNES. [5] Footage of the "LCD" video was aired on the Glastonbury Festival media screens.

In 2012, the band released their first self-titled album Sanguine. Following the successful launch of this album Sanguine were invited to perform at Download Festival 2012 and main support for Megadeth in London. [6] The album featured two video releases for "Given Up" and "For Love".

Vocalist Tarin Kerrey was also invited to do backing vocals for Iron Maiden's Adrian Smith and SikTh's Mikee Goodman in their side project Primal Rock Rebellion, Tarin featured on three of the tracks. [7]

In 2013, Sanguine started recording their next album in Sweden with ex-In Flames guitarist Jesper Strömblad and producer Daniel Flores. [8] The album featured two co-written songs "Empty" and "Breathe Out" (both tracks were co-written by Nick Magee, Tarin Kerrey, Jesper Strömblad and Daniel Flores).

In 2014, Sanguine showcased the finished album at the Global Rock Summit in Hollywood, LA which led to various record and label deals across Europe and Japan. In late 2015, Sanguine released a sneak-peek of the new album Black Sheep releasing one video for "Social Decay" (featuring footage from the 1936 propaganda film Reefer Madness ) and a lyric video for the song "Black Sheep".

In early January 2016 Sanguine released their first professional studio album "Black Sheep". Singles released from this album: Pretty Girl (featuring a self-made video shot in Las Vegas) and Save Me (featuring the short-film Seed by Australian Director Tyson Wade Johnston). [9]

Sanguine are due to tour the UK with Mushroomhead and American Head Charge in March and April 2016.

Clayman is the fifth studio album by Swedish metal band In Flames, released via Nuclear Blast on 3 July 2000. It has a dark theme, with most of the lyrics dealing with depression and internal struggles. Clayman is the final In Flames album to feature their original melodic death metal sound. The band would later start to experiment with other styles on their next release, Reroute to Remain, gradually progressing these more experimental elements across their future releases later into the 2000s.

A Show of Hands is a live album by the Canadian rock band Rush, released in 1989. The band released a video of the same name, originally on VHS and LaserDisc, the same year. A DVD version was released as part of a box set in 2006, and as an individual DVD in 2007. In 2015 it was reissued after being remastered by Sean Magee at Abbey Road Studios following a direct approach by Rush to remaster their entire back catalogue.

"The Quiet Place" is a song by Swedish metal band In Flames. It was released in 2004, as the first single from their album Soundtrack to Your Escape. It is the third single overall in the band's career. The song is the most successful In Flames single yet, peaking at #2 on the Singles Chart in Sweden. The song "Värmlandsvisan" is a cover of the Swedish folk song "Dear Old Stockholm".

Tiga James Sontag, known simply as Tiga, is a Canadian musician, DJ and record producer of electronic dance music. He has released three albums, Sexor, Ciao!, and No Fantasy Required. Sexor won the 2007 Juno Award for Dance Recording of the Year. Tiga released a selection of compilations in the early 2000s, featuring mixes such as American Gigolo, DJ-Kicks: Tiga and, Mixed Emotions, which put him on the map as one of "the world's best mixers". Scuzz was a British 24-hour rock and metal music television channel owned and operated by Sony Pictures Television. It was launched on 17 April 2003 and went on to be the highest-rated rock TV station on the Sky satellite platform, available in over 12 million homes in the UK and Ireland. The channel was abruptly closed on 15 November 2018.

Mendeed was a Scottish heavy metal band formed in Dumbarton, in 2000 and disbanded in 2007.

A Sense of Purpose is the ninth studio album by Swedish metal band In Flames, first released in Japan on 26 March 2008. It was released on 1 April and 4 April 2008 in North America and Europe respectively. A Sense of Purpose is the last In Flames album with guitarist Jesper Strömblad, at this point the last original member, as he quit in February 2010. Cutting Our Teeth is the debut studio album by English post-hardcore band We Are the Ocean, after releasing two EPs. Promotional videos have been made for the songs "These Days, I Have Nothing" and "Look Alive". A video for "All of This Has to End" was recently made and has been highly requested on the Scuzz and Kerrang! music channels. It features noticeably change in Dan Brown's vocal style from the self-titled EP. Mallory Knox English alternative rock band

Mallory Knox were an English alternative rock band from Cambridge. In 2013, they released their debut album Signals which reached #33 in the UK album charts. Their second album Asymmetry was released on 27 October 2014 and reached #16 on UK Album Chart. They later released their third album Wired on 10 March 2017. Their fourth record, Mallory Knox, was released on 16 August 2019, after which they announced a farewell tour.

Never A Hero

Never A Hero was a five-piece nu metal band formed in Sudbury, Suffolk, England in 2009. They self-released their debut EP, Socially Awkward in September 2010, produced by John Mitchell at Outhouse Studios in Reading. It contains five songs including "From Heroes To Angels", which received air time on Kerrang! and Scuzz TV and also "Trippin on Speed". In November 2012, they released their debut album, Bleed Between The Lies, through Cinderella Records / Musik and Film which the band signed to in early 2012. The album features 14 tracks, five of which are re-released versions of older demos featured on the band's Myspace.

The One Hundred (band)

The One Hundred is an English crossover band from London, combining elements of metalcore, punk, grime, rap and electronics. The band released their debut EP Subculture in 2014 via Australian independent label UNFD and have toured extensively across the United Kingdom and Europe as well as performing at major festivals such as Sonisphere, Download Festival and Reading and Leeds. In September 2016 the band announced via their social media that they had signed to Spinefarm Records, a division of Universal Music Group.
