Sanjay A. Sangma (born 1975) [1] is an Indian politician from Meghalaya. He is a member of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly from Mahendraganj Assembly constituency, which is reserved for Scheduled Tribe community, in South West Garo Hills district. Sangma is from Mahendraganj, South West Garo Hills district, Meghalaya. He is the son of late Abdul Jalil Khan. He studied Class 8 at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Tural, West Garo Hills, Meghalaya and passed the examinations in 1988. His wife is a government employee. [1]
Sangma won from Mahendraganj Assembly constituency representing National People's Party in the 2023 Meghalaya Legislative Assembly election. He polled 13,560 votes and defeated his nearest rival, Dikkanchi D. Shira of All India Trinamool Congress, by a margin of 1,718 votes. [5] [6] [7]
Conrad Kongkal Sangma is an Indian politician who is the 12th and current Chief Minister of Meghalaya since 2018. He is a member of the National People's Party. His father, P. A. Sangma, was former Chief Minister and former Speaker of the Lok Sabha. Conrad Sangma was also a Member of Parliament from Tura (2016–2018).
