Sankt Ingbert station (German : Bahnhof Sankt Ingbert) is a railway station in St. Ingbert, located in the federal state of Saarland, Germany. The station was originally opened in 1867, with the current concourse building completed in 1879. Positioned on the edge of the town center, it is one stop away from the central bus station. Classified as a class 3 station, Sankt Ingbert is served by several Regional-Express and Regionalbahn services operated by Deutsche Bahn.
Historical records indicate that the first station building was constructed in 1867 during the development of the Palatine Ludwig Railway between Homburg and St. Ingbert. For several years, the station functioned as a terminus until the 1870s, when a line extension to Saarbrücken was completed. Due to growing passenger numbers, a new station building was needed, resulting in the construction of the current building, situated south of the platforms and opposite its predecessor.
In the early 1970s, Sankt Ingbert station became a stop for Interregio trains traveling as far as Berlin and Paris, alongside semi-fast and local regional services. However, these Interregio services were discontinued following a 1991 timetable change and the introduction of an Interregio service between Stuttgart and Frankfurt-am-Main.
Architecturally, Sankt Ingbert station exemplifies the style of Saarland stations from that era. Notable features include the arched windows on the ground floor, rectangular windows on the first floor, and a generally sober design lacking vertical detailing. However, the single entrance through an avant-corps remains a distinctive aspect of the station's structure. [4]
All of the trains operating on the Palatine Ludwig Railway and the Landau–Rohrbach railway stop at the station. There are half-hourly services in the direction of Homburg, with hourly extensions to Kaiserslautern. In the other direction all services travel to Saarbrücken with extensions to Trier. On the Landau–Rohrbach railway, services travel to Pirmasens, with morning extensions to Landau via the Saar Railway.

St. Ingbert is a town in the Saarpfalz district in Saarland, Germany with a population of 34,971 (2021). It is situated approximately 10 km north-east of Saarbrücken and 10 km south-west of Neunkirchen.

The Nahe Valley Railway is a two-track, partially electrified main line railway in the German states of Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland, which runs for almost 100 kilometres along the Nahe. The Saarbrücken Railway was a division of the Prussian state railways that was responsible for the construction of the first railways in the Saarland. The Royal Administration of the Saarbrücken Railway was established on 22 May 1852 with the goal of managing and operating the soon to be opened state railway line from the (then) border with Bavaria near Bexbach via Neunkirchen and St. Johann-Saarbrücken to the French border at Forbach. It replaced the Royal Commission for the construction of the Saarbrücken Railway, which had been created at the end of 1847 by the Prussian government with responsibility for the planning and construction of this line.

The Landau–Rohrbach railway is a major line running from Landau in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate to Rohrbach in the Saarland. The main section between Landau and Zweibrücken was opened on 25 November 1875 after the first sections had already been opened between 1857 and 1867.

Bexbach station is a station in the German state of Saarland. It was opened in 1849 and is the oldest preserved station building in the state, although it has extended in 1872 and 1896. When it was built, Bexbach was in the Circle of the Rhine (Rheinkreis) of the Kingdom of Bavaria. It was put into operation together with Homburg Hauptbahnhof and the Palatine Ludwig Railway. Homburg station, which was destroyed during the Second World War, received a new entrance building at the beginning of the 1950s, but Bexbach station was preserved. When it was built, it was a border station between Bavaria and Prussia and also the terminus of the historic Palatine Ludwig Railway. Today, it is a through station on the Homburg–Neunkirchen railway. The building and its surrounding area have been given heritage protection.

Annweiler am Trifels station is the main station in the town of Annweiler am Trifels in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. Deutsche Bahn classifies it as a category 5 station and it has three platform tracks. The station is located in the network of the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Neckar and belongs to fare zones 181 and 191. Since 2002, Annweiler has also been part of the area served by the Karlsruher Verkehrsverbund using tickets at a transitional rate. Annweiler was always the most important station between Landau (Pfalz) Hbf and Pirmasens Nord and it used to be served by long-distance services.
