The Sanlam Centre is a building in downtown Windhoek, Namibia. Located on Independence Avenue, the building was built in 1990, the same year as Namibia's independence. It has 15 floors and 28,000 m2 of floor space. [1] The German, Swedish and Venezuelan embassies are located in the building,. [2] as is the American Cultural Center, an extension of the United States embassy in Namibia. [3] It is named after South Africa-based Sanlam Ltd.
The Schlesinger Building, also known as Wesbank Centre or Sanlam Centre, is a skyscraper in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, South Africa. It was built in 1965 to a height of 110 metres (360 ft). It has 21 floors. The building is named for John Schlesinger, a Johannesburg businessman who was also one of the first major art collectors in the city.
