The Sanlam Centre is a building in downtown Windhoek, Namibia. Located on Independence Avenue, the building was built in 1990, the same year as Namibia's independence. It has 15 floors and 28,000 m2 of floor space. [1] The German, Swedish and Venezuelan embassies are located in the building,. [2] as is the American Cultural Center, an extension of the United States embassy in Namibia. [3] It is named after South Africa-based Sanlam Ltd.
Namibia follows a largely independent foreign policy, with strong affiliations with states that aided the independence struggle, including Libya and Cuba.

The building is located at 100 Wellington Street in Block 2 of Canada's Parliamentary precinct, immediately south of Parliament Hill in downtown Ottawa. The current Beaux-Arts building on site was built in 1931 to house the first permanent United States Embassy in Canada, but was abandoned for a new location in 1999.
