Santissimo Nome di Maria a Via Latina is a modern parish and titular church at Via Centirupe 18/22 in the Appio Latino quarter, just to the east of the Parco della Caffarella in Rome, Italy. The dedication is to the Holy Name of Mary. The parish is administered by the Marianists whose General Curia (world headquarters) is based here; Gaudencio Borbon Rosales is the Cardinal-Priest.
The church was built in 1980 and was designed by Aldo Ortolani. [1] The plan is based on a square with the major axis on the diagonal. The corners of the square at the entrance and behind the altar are truncated. From entrance to altar a high rectangular concrete frame supports a flat roof. On either side the building descends in four horizontal steps, each step supports a vertical concrete vane. These steps are replicated vertically along the side frontages. At the side angles of the square are two semi-circular chapels, one dedicated to St Anthony of Padua and the other to Our Lady of the Pillar (a Spanish devotion).
The entrance façade and the external altar wall are concrete slabs. The rest of the structure is bare concrete. A canopy floats over the entrance, which slopes down in an inward curve. On its fascia is a dedicatory inscription. The entrance doors are carved wood planking and are set in varnished planking that fills the frontage below the canopy. At the top of the entrance façade is a horizontal window strip. Vertical window strips edge each vertical step along the side frontages. Another horizontal window strip is at the top of the altar wall.
A tall campanile is of two narrow concrete slabs in the form of an L. The bells are hung in the angle. There is a metal cross on the top.
Like the exterior, the interior is entirely exposed grey concrete. The vast single space houses abstract stained glass in the horizontal and vertical window strips, the colours of which are dominated by azure blue. Behind the altar is a semicircular coved concrete wall, surrounded by vertical and horizontal window strips that are mostly magenta. Above this is the main altar wall, which has an upward and outward sweep of raw concrete bearing a figure of Christ crucified without a cross. The two chapels are smaller with blue glass.
The Church of the Gesù is the mother church of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), a Catholic religious order. Officially named Chiesa del Santissimo Nome di Gesù, its façade is "the first truly baroque façade", introducing the baroque style into architecture. The church served as a model for innumerable Jesuit churches all over the world, especially in the central Europe and then in the Portuguese colonies. Its paintings in the nave, crossing, and side chapels became models for Jesuit churches throughout Italy and Europe, as well as those of other orders. The Church of the Gesù is located in the Piazza del Gesù in Rome and is one of the great 17th century preaching churches built by Counter-Reformation orders in the Centro Storico.

Gaudencio Borbón Rosales is a Filipino Roman Catholic Cardinal who was Archbishop of Manila, succeeding Jaime Sin in 2003, and succeeded by Luis Antonio Tagle in 2011. Being the Metropolitan of the ecclesiastical province of Manila, he was the 31st archbishop of Manila and the fourth native Filipino to hold the post, following centuries of Spanish, American, and Irish prelates. During his last year as archbishop, he was concurrently named apostolic administrator of the Diocese of Pasig from December 21, 2010 to June 23, 2011, a post he accepted after the resignation of Pasig's first bishop, Francisco San Diego. He is also the Longest-lived Filipino Cardinal, surpassing Cardinal Jose Tomas Sanchez.
Ħaġar Qim is a megalithic temple complex found on the Mediterranean island of Malta, dating from the Ġgantija phase (3600–3200 BC). The Megalithic Temples of Malta are among the most ancient religious sites on Earth, described by the World Heritage Sites committee as "unique architectural masterpieces." In 1992 UNESCO recognized Ħaġar Qim and four other Maltese megalithic structures as World Heritage Sites. V. Gordon Childe, Professor of Prehistoric European Archeology and director of the Institute of Archaeology in the University of London from 1946-1957 visited Ħaġar Qim. He wrote, "I have been visiting the prehistoric ruins all round the Mediterranean, from Mesopotamia to Egypt, Greece and Switzerland, but I have nowhere seen a place as old as this one."

All of the ranger station structures were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps between 1937 and 1939. Today, the compound serves as a Forest Service work center, and the old ranger station office is a visitor center. The ranger station is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The St. Mary Catholic Church is located in Bunnell, Florida. The architectural style of the wood framed St. Mary Catholic Church is Carpenter Gothic. In the early 1910s, after several families of Polish descent decided to relocate to Korona, Florida, they raised $1000 to build a Catholic church in the town. Korona means “crown” in Polish, signifying the patron saint of Poland, the Blessed Virgin Mary, who is also referred to as “Queen of Poland.” They constructed the church building in 1914 and originally named it St. Mary, Queen of Poland, Catholic Church, but later changed its name to St. Mary Catholic Church. The original St. Mary Catholic Church is still in use for daily mass, baptisms, funerals, weddings and silent prayer services.

The Church of the Holy Family is a Catholic place of worship located in the territory of the Italian municipality of Barletta, in the province of Barletta-Andria-Trani in Apulia. It is a parish complex built in the 1990s in Via Canosa, replacing the church building erected in the early 20th century in the Borgovilla-Patalini district, more precisely in Via Trento. The original church still exists, although it is closed to the public due to its precarious structural condition.
