She was named Motorsport Athlete of the Year (Women's Category) by the RJR/Gleaner Sportsman and Sportswoman Awards for three consecutive years, most recently in 2023. She also served as a development driver for the Lotus Emira GT4, providing feedback ahead of the car’s final production model.
In early January 2025, Sara Misir transitioned into electric powerboat racing by joining Team Blue Rising, a squad co-owned by cricket legend Virat Kohli, for Season 2 of the UIM E1 World Championship —the world’s first all-electric powerboat series. This move marked a groundbreaking shift in her motorsport career, making her the Caribbean’s first female pro racecar driver to compete in top-level watersports.
The Monaco triumph pushed Team Blue Rising to fourth place overall in the championship standings, tallying 114 points, firmly establishing them as frontrunners in a highly competitive field“It’s an absolute honor to stand atop the podium representing Jamaica and Team Blue Rising,” she said. “This is a milestone not just for us as a team, but for women in motorsports across the world because this is my debut season and I just hope to keep improving as I go along.” [1]
Team Blue Rising distinguished itself in a star-studded championship featuring teams owned by global icons such as Tom Brady, Rafael Nadal, LeBron James, and Didier Drogba. The Monaco race was attended by E1’s leadership, including Chairman Alejandro Agag and UIM President Dr. Raffaele Chiulli, underscoring the event’s prestige—not just within motorsport, but also in the sustainability and innovation sectors .
