Sarah Bentley (born 8 March 1973) is a British former professional tennis player.
Bentley qualified for her first WTA Tour tournament at Brighton in 1989 and reached a best singles ranking of No. 269 on the professional tour.
As a wildcard, Bentley twice featured in the main draw at Wimbledon. In 1991, she lost a three set opening round match to Maya Kidowaki, then in 1992 was beaten in the first round by seventh seed Mary Joe Fernandez. [1]

Jana Novotná was a Czech professional tennis player. She played a serve and volley game, an increasingly rare style of play among women during her career. Novotná won the women's singles title at Wimbledon in 1998, and was runner-up in three other majors. Novotná also won 12 major women's doubles titles, four major mixed doubles titles, and three Olympic medals. She reached a career-high singles ranking of world No. 2 in 1997, and held the No. 1 ranking in doubles for 67 weeks.
MaliVai "Mal" Washington is an American former professional tennis player. He reached the men's singles final at Wimbledon in 1996, won four ATP titles and achieved a career-high singles ranking of world No. 11 in October 1992.
Michael Detlef Stich is a German former professional tennis player. He won the men's singles title at Wimbledon in 1991, the men's doubles titles at both Wimbledon and the Olympic Games in 1992, and was a singles runner-up at the 1994 US Open and the 1996 French Open. Stich won 18 singles titles and ten doubles titles. His career-high singles ranking was world No. 2, achieved in 1993.
Zina Lynna Garrison is an American former professional tennis player. Garrison was the runner-up in singles at the 1990 Wimbledon Championships, a three-time major mixed doubles champion, and an Olympic gold and bronze medalist from the women's doubles and singles events, respectively, at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. She reached a career-high singles ranking of world No. 4, on 20 November 1989.

Goran Ivanišević defeated Patrick Rafter in the final, 6–3, 3–6, 6–3, 2–6, 9–7 to win the gentlemen's singles tennis title at the 2001 Wimbledon Championships. It was his first and only major title. Ivanišević became the first unseeded player to win the title since Boris Becker in 1985, and the first wild card to win a major. His ranking improved by 109 places following the win, from world No. 125 to world No. 16. Ivanišević had reached the Wimbledon final three times before but lost each time. The final was held on the third Monday of the event in front of a boisterous crowd, after Ivanišević's semifinal against Tim Henman took three days to complete due to rain.
Andre Agassi defeated Goran Ivanišević in the final, 6–7(8–10), 6–4, 6–4, 1–6, 6–4 to win the gentlemen's singles tennis title at the 1992 Wimbledon Championships. It was his first major title, and his first leg of an eventual career Grand Slam. Ivanisević became the first Croatian representing Croatia to reach a major final.

Three-time defending champion Novak Djokovic defeated Nick Kyrgios in the final, 4–6, 6–3, 6–4, 7–6(7–3) to win the gentlemen's singles tennis title at the 2022 Wimbledon Championships. It was his seventh Wimbledon title and 21st major singles title overall. Djokovic became the fifth man in the Open Era to record a streak of at least four consecutive titles at one major. By reaching his 32nd men's singles major final, he surpassed Roger Federer's all-time record. Djokovic also became the first player to win 80 matches at all four majors with his first-round win over Kwon Soon-woo. Because the ATP decided not to award ranking points in response to Wimbledon's banning of Russian and Belarusian players, Djokovic dropped out of the top five in the ATP rankings after winning the tournament.
