Sarah Jibrin is a Nigerian politician. She is the only woman to have contested the Presidential nomination for the ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP).

Life

Jibrin stood as a candidate at the Presidential primary for the People's Democratic Party in early 2011, but only managed to garner a single vote out of 5000 delegates. [1] [2]

Jibrin served as a Special Adviser on Ethics and Values to President Goodluck Jonathan. [3]

She was briefly Chairman of the Justice Must Prevail Party (JMPP), established in 2017. [3] In June 2018 she was among JMPP leaders who took a public oath against corruption. [4]

She is inducted into the Hall of Fame at the National Centre for Women Development. [5]

Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso, FNSE, FNIQS is a Nigerian Muslim politician who was the Governor of Kano State from 1999 to 2003 and 2011 to 2015. After he lost his re-election in 2003, he was appointed the first civilian Minister of Defence of the Fourth Republic from 2003 to 2007.

Aisha Jummai Al-Hassan, popularly known as Mama Taraba is a Nigerian politician who was born on the 16 September 1959 in Jalingo, Taraba State. She resigned as the Minister of Women Affairs of Nigeria on July 27th, 2018. She was appointed in 2015 to the cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari after his election. She was previously a Senator, representing Taraba North senatorial district of Taraba State, Nigeria which she won under the platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). She later decamped to the main opposition party All Progressive Congress (APC) and became the gubernatorial candidate of the party in Taraba State for the 2015 general elections. She was defeated in the election re-run held on 25 April 2015, but on 7 November 2015 tribunal removes Taraba Governor, Darius Ishaku, declares Aisha Alhassan of the All Progressives Congress winner of April 11, 2015 poll, this was later reversed by the Appeal and Supreme Courts of Nigeria.

Abdulmumin Jibrin is a Nigerian politician, businessman, academic and former member of the Nigerian House of Representatives. He was born in kano. He is an All Progressive Congress (APC) member representing Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency of Kano State.

Olajumoke Olufunmilola Adenowo is an architect by profession. She is also an entrepreneur and philanthropist, a public speaker, radio host and author. CNN described her as "Africa's Starchitect" and The Guardian (Nigeria) has described her as "the face of Architecture in Nigeria". In 2018 she was recognised by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) as one of the inspirational women in architecture today.

All Progressives Congress Nigerian political party

The All Progressives Congress (APC) is a political party in Nigeria, formed on 6 February 2013 in anticipation of the 2015 Nigerian general elections. APC candidate Muhammadu Buhari won the presidential election by almost 2.6 million votes. Incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan conceded defeat on 31 March. This was the first time in Nigeria's political history that an opposition political party unseated a governing party in a general election and one in which power transferred peacefully from one political party to another. In addition, the APC won the majority of seats in the Senate and the House of Representatives in the 2015 elections, though it fell shy of winning a super-majority to override the ability of the opposition People's Democratic Party to block legislation.

Abby Finkenauer U.S. Representative from Iowa

Sarah Nnadzwa Jibril is a Nigerian politician and psychologist. She was born in Kwara State Nigeria on March, 1945. she was the special adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan on ethics and moral values. She is Nigeria's first female presidential candidate both at the primaries and main elections, having contested to be president on four separate occasions.

The National Centre for Women Development (NCWD) is a Nigerian state-owned enterprise based in Abuja. It was established in 1997.
