Sarah Ann Kozer (born December 16, 1973)[ citation needed ] is a television personality best known for her appearance in the reality television series Joe Millionaire , finishing as the runner-up to Zora Andrich.
Kozer was born and raised in the Pittsburgh suburb of Hunker, Pennsylvania. She graduated from George Mason University [1] with a degree in philosophy and women's studies and attended Southwestern University School of Law, without completing her law degree. She is also a strict vegetarian, and she has said she would not eat meat for money. (She later proved this in her reality TV career.) [2]
She appeared in a cover-featured pictorial in the June 2003 issue of Playboy . [3] After a legal battle over unauthorized use of her name and likeness, Kozer applied for and was approved for a US trademark on her name (US TM #3026990). She's appeared in a number of fetish films under the name "Cindy Schubert". [4] [5] [6]
In January 2004, Kozer was chosen to participate on the British reality show Back to Reality , [7] which aired on Channel 5 in the United Kingdom. During her time in the house, she had a modest "showmance" with contestant James Hewitt. She was later evicted before the series finale. [8] After being voted out, it became known she had finished work on her first novel and was also working on a cook book. [9] She also had an uncredited role as a groupie in Almost Famous . [10]

Joe Millionaire is an American reality television series broadcast by the Fox Broadcasting Company (Fox). The series premiered on January 6, 2003, and concluded with the finale of its second season on November 24, 2003. Both seasons followed a group of single women in competition for the affection of a bachelor. The women were under the belief that the bachelor was a millionaire; however, he was actually a working class average Joe. If the final remaining woman still accepted the bachelor after learning about the ruse, the two split a $1,000,000 reward. The series was hosted by American television presenter Alex McLeod.
A Playmate is a female model featured in the centerfold/gatefold of Playboy magazine as Playmate of the Month (PMOTM). The PMOTM's pictorial includes nude photographs and a centerfold poster, along with a pictorial biography and the "Playmate Data Sheet", which lists her birthdate, measurements, turn-ons, and turn-offs. At the end of the year, one of the 12 Playmates of the Month is named Playmate of the Year (PMOTY). Every Playmate of the Month is awarded a prize of US$25,000 and each Playmate of the Year receives an additional prize of US$100,000 plus a car and other discretionary gifts. In addition, Anniversary Playmates are usually chosen to celebrate a milestone year of the magazine. The use of the word "Playmate" in a sexual sense did not originate with Playboy, and was seen at least as early as 1950 in Vue magazine.

The first season featured 25 women competing to be Michaels' girlfriend. Each week, the women face challenges, the winner of which gets to go on a date with Michaels. Some of the challenges were based on situations that they might encounter if chosen to be Michaels' girlfriend. The first season winner was 24-year-old Jes Rickleff from Naperville, Illinois. At the reunion, she revealed that she did not have romantic feelings for Michaels, and that she thought that he should have chosen the runner-up, Heather.
