Sarah Lynn Dawson is an English actress and filmmaker. [1]

Early life

She was born in The Lake District in England. [2] and she spent a large part of her childhood growing up in Qatar, in the Middle East where she started acting at the age of seven when she was cast in a community theatre show. [3] She was in the local theatre companies’ productions and danced ballet and tap. She went to a boarding school in the UK [4] where she was in more theatre productions and she later attended the University of Leeds, where she received a BA Hons Degree in Sociology. [5]

Career

Sarah studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York on their two year Acting Certificate Program. Whilst in New York she acted in the Off-Broadway show 'Men' and in the Off-Broadway show 'Conflict' at The Producers Club. [6]

She was cast in the award-winning indie film Folklore upon moving to LA. [7] She produced, wrote [8] and starred in the film Duality [9] which is voiced by Deepak Chopra [10] and also stars Jon Foo [11] and Don Most. [12] Duality was an Official Selection of the Hollyshorts Film Festival [13] in 2015. [14] She also produced and starred in the 1940s noir short Unsolved, Directed by Julia Camara. [15] She appeared in the film Game of Aces as British Nurse, Patricia Evans. The film was directed by Damien Lay and stars Chris Klein. [16]

She voiced the character of The Mother in the English dub of the animated film I Lost My Body which was nominated for an Academy Award in 2020. [17] The film was Directed by Jérémy Clapin and the main character Naoufel was voiced by English Actor Dev Patel [18] The film also was nominated for and won several other major awards including an Annie Award and a César Award.

Lamhe (Moments) is a 1991 Indian musical romantic drama directed and produced by Yash Chopra and written by Honey Irani and Rahi Masoom Raza. The film stars Sridevi and Anil Kapoor in lead roles, along with Waheeda Rehman, Anupam Kher, Deepak Malhotra, and Dippy Sagoo in pivotal supporting roles. The film marks the second and final collaboration between Sridevi and Chopra after Chandni (1989).

Jewel Thief is a 1967 Indian Hindi-language spy thriller heist film directed by Vijay Anand. The film stars Ashok Kumar, Dev Anand, Vyjayantimala and features four bond girl-like actresses portrayed by Tanuja, Helen, Faryal and Anju Mahendru, with Nazir Hussain and Sapru appearing in supporting roles. It was produced by Dev Anand's production house, Navketan Films. The film revolves around a jewellery expert (Anand), as he and the police attempt to capture a notorious jewel thief, but in the process, their true identities get thoroughly muddled.

<i>Sunday Holiday</i> Malayalam movie

Sunday Holiday is a 2017 Indian Malayalam-language romantic comedy-drama film written and directed by Jis Joy, based on a story by Kiran. V.S and Urasu. The film features an ensemble cast including Asif Ali, Sreenivasan, Lal Jose, Aparna Balamurali, Asha Sarath, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Siddique, Bhagath Manuel, Alphy Panjikkaaran and Alencier Ley Lopez. The music was composed by Deepak Dev. The film was released on 14 July 2017, and received positive reviews from critics.
