Sarah Porter is a British entrepreneur and humanitarian. She is the Founder and CEO of Inspired Minds and the founder of World Summit AI. [1] InspiredMinds and World Summit AI were acquired by US private equity firm Growth Catalyst Partners in 2025. [2] [3]

Porter advocated for the all girl's robotics team Afghan Dreamers from Afghanistan so that they could circumvent the Trump travel ban to participate in a competition in Washington, DC. The team won the Rookie Inspiration Award at the FIRST Robotics World Championship in Detroit. [4]

Porter went on to evacuate the robotics team and further assist 166 Afghan nationals during the fall of Kabul. [5] [6]

Porter founded Ada-AI and the Inspired Minds Foundation following her involvement with the situation. The group advocates for AI and other emerging technologies to be developed inclusively and equitably. Porter collaborates with AI industry leaders to combat AI biases and promote diversity in the field. [4] Additionally, Porter has extended World Summit AI to the Americas with an annual event in Montreal, Canada and to Doha, Qatar. Furthermore, Porter has worked towards increasing representation in AI development from low to middle-income countries. [7]

Porter has been named Female Tech Entrepreneur of the Year and secured the Women in Tech Ally Award [8] , and was nominated for the Women in Tech Lifetime Achievement Award.[ citation needed ] Additionally, she was featured in Computer Weekly's Most Influential Women in Tech. [9]

In 2026, Porter was removed from the Montane Winter Spine Challenger South ultramarathon after running nearly a third of the 108-mile race due to receiving death threats. Porter had been running the race to raise money for women and girls in Afghanistan. [10]
