Ataullah Mengal was a Pakistani politician and feudal figure. He was the head of the Mengal tribe until he nominated one of his grandsons,Sardar Asad Ullah Mengal,as his tribal successor. He was also the 1st Chief Minister of Balochistan during Zulfikar Ali Bhutto's premiership from 1 May 1972 to 13 February 1973. He died on 2 September 2021 in Karachi.

Faisal Karim Kundi is a Pakistani politician who is currently serving as the 35th Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in office since 4 May 2024. Previously,he held the position of Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety in federal cabinet under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Mir Jan Mohammad Khan Jamali is a Pakistani politician who served as the Speaker of the Balochistan Assembly from 4 June 2013 to 2015. Mir Jan Muhammad Jamali served as the 9th Chief Minister of Balochistan from 13 August 1998 till 12 October 1999 when Army Chief General Pervaiz Mushraf took over the Government. He served two terms as Deputy Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan from March 2006 to March 2012. Jan Mohammad Jamali contested the 2013 elections from PB25 and won on the seat of PML-N. In 2018,he again contested from PB14 and won on the ticket of BAP. He is a well-known personality throughout Balochistan.
Asad Qaiser is a Pakistani politician from Swabi. He is the former Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan,served from August 2018 to April 2022. He has been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan since February 2024,and previously served in this position from August 2018 till January 2023. Previously,he was the member of the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from 2013 to 2018 and served as the 14th Speaker of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly,from May 2013 to August 2018.
General elections were held in Pakistan on 25 July 2018 to elect the members of the 15th National Assembly and the four Provincial Assemblies. The three major parties were Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI),led by Imran Khan,the Pakistan Muslim League,led by Shehbaz Sharif,and the Pakistan People's Party,led by Bilawal Bhutto. The PTI won the most seats in the National Assembly but fell short of a majority;the party subsequently formed a coalition government with several smaller parties. At the provincial level,the PTI remained the largest party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP);the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) retained its dominance in Sindh;and the newly formed Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) emerged as the largest party in Balochistan. In Punjab,the result was a hung parliament,with the Pakistan Muslim League (N) winning the most seats. However,after several independent MPAs joined the PTI,the latter became the largest party and was able to form a government.
Maulana Ameer Zaman was a Pakistani politician who served as Minister for Postal Services,in Abbasi cabinet from August 2017 to May 2018. He had been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan,from June 2013 to May 2018.

On 2 November 2023,the Election Commission of Pakistan announced,in agreement with the President of Pakistan,Arif Alvi,that the elections will be held on 8 February 2024. This election will be held concurrently with nationwide general elections and other provincial elections.
