Sardar Mosharraf Hossain is a Bangladesh Awami League politician and the former Member of Parliament of Dinajpur-9.
Hossain was elected to parliament from Dinajpur-9 as a Bangladesh Awami League candidate in 1973. [1]
Hossain died on 24 September 2017 at M Abdur Rahim Medical College and Hospital in Dinajpur. [2]

In the political arena,he is the Presidium Member,the highest policy-making post of Bangladesh Awami League,the oldest and traditional political organization of the country. His constituency is Chattogram-1 (Mirsarai). He served the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism in the Awami League government in 1996. He made significant contributions to the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971. He served as the Minister in charge of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works till 6 January 2019.
