Topvar Breweries is a beer brewing company in Slovakia. The company was created by the merger of the Šariš and Topvar breweries on 1 January 2007, after both were purchased by global brewing giant SABMiller in 2006. Subsequently, as part of the agreements made with regulators before Anheuser-Busch InBev was allowed to acquire SABMiller in October 2016, Topvar was sold to Asahi Breweries of Japan on December 13, 2016; the deal is expected to close during the first half of 2017.

Svinia is a village of some 1,500 people in eastern Slovakia about 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) west from Prešov. The village covers an area of 14.734 square kilometres (5.689 sq mi). Svinia is located in the Šariš Highlands in the valley of Veľká and Mala Svinka. The village is one of the oldest villages in the former Šariš County. The village belonged to the Hungarian Merše family from Budapest from 1262 to 1918. Until 1262, the settlement of Svinia belonged to Bár-Kalán ban of Slavonia.

It is a hilltop castle located on a cone-shaped hill with a wide plateau at its top, in an altitude of approximately 570 m (1870.07 ft) above sea level. The ruins lie 6-7 km northwest of Prešov, Slovakia, in the traditional region Šariš. The castle is listed in the National Cultural Heritage list of the Monuments Board of the Slovak Republic.
