Saskia Kosterink

Saskia Kosterink (born August 13, 1984 in Zwolle) is a Dutch softball player, who represents the Dutch national team in international competitions. [1]

Kosterink played for Run '71 Oldenzaal, Tex Town Tigers, Gulf Coast CC and since 2007 for Sparks Haarlem. She is an outfielder who bats and throws right-handed. She competes for the Dutch national team since 2005. In 2007 she hit the most home runs in the Dutch Softball Hoofdklasse and during the European Championships that year she was named as Best Outfielder of the tournament. She was part of the Dutch team for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. [1]

Jessica Ofelia Mendoza is an American sports broadcaster for ESPN and former softball player. Netherlands at the 2008 Summer Olympics

The Netherlands competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, People's Republic of China. This was announced in an official statement on the NOC*NSF website. In the statement they named the Olympic Games and the Paralympic Games as a highlight in sports to which a lot of sportspeople, coaches and the Dutch sports fans would look forward. The Netherlands aimed for a top 10 nations ranking in the Olympics as well as a top 25 ranking in the Paralympics; they ended up ranking 12th at the Games.

Michigan Wolverines softball softball team of the University of Michigan

The Michigan Wolverines softball team represents the University of Michigan in National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) Division I competition. College softball became a varsity sport at the University of Michigan in 1978. Carol Hutchins has been the head coach since 1985. In 2005, Hutchins' team became the first Division I softball team since 1976 from east of the Mississippi River to win the Women's College World Series.
