Saskia Sills (born 24 July 1996 in Plymouth) is a world champion British windsurfer and member of the British Sailing Team. She has competed in international events such as the European championships, and has been part of the British Sailing team from 2013 to present as a windsurfer initially in the RS:X (Women) Class, and more recently in the IQFoil class. Sills started sailing in 2004 at Roadford Lake Sailing Club. She won the World Championship title at age 13, and continued on to win it again on her 15th birthday. She won it twice when she was aged 16. She received the Young Sailor of the Year award in 2012 at the London International Boat Show from YJA. [2]
Saskia, and her twin Imogen [3] [4] lived in Portland, where they trained at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy. Saskia now lives in Israel with her boyfriend Israeli windsurfer Tom Reuveny, and trains with the Israeli national teams under Israeli coach and former Olympic medalist Shahar Tzuberi. [5]
Their brother Sam Sills is also a windsurfer. He competed in the 2024 Summer Olympics event, reaching 5th place and losing to Israeli windsurfer Tom Reuveny, who was Saskia's boyfriend at the time. [6]
Nominated for BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year in 2012, Saskia was chosen for her gold in the ISAF Youth World Championship and at the EUROSAF Youth Europeans, continuing on to claim the under-17 world title at the RSX Open Youth World Championships. She was nominated alongside Olympic and Paralympic medalists for the ISAF Rolex World Sailor of the Year Awards. [7]
Her Bournemouth University awards received include University Colours, and a nomination for Sportswoman of the Year.[ citation needed ]
Gal Fridman is an Israeli windsurfer and Israel's first Olympic gold medalist. Fridman won a Bronze Medal in the Atlanta 1996 Summer Olympics, and a gold medal in the Athens 2004 Summer Olympics. He is the first of two Israelis athletes to win two Olympic Medals, and the first Olympic Gold medalist in Israeli history. His first name, Gal, means "wave" in Hebrew.
Nicholas Charles Dempsey is a retired British windsurfer, who lives in Poole, Dorset. He became the first man to win three Olympics medals in windsurfing when he won silver in the 2016 Rio Olympics, adding to a silver won in the 2012 London Olympics, and a bronze from the 2004 Athens Olympics. He is also twice world champion, winning gold in 2009 and 2013.
Burghfield Sailing Club is an inland sailing club located close to the town of Theale in Berkshire near Reading in the south of England. The club and lake are easily seen from the M4 motorway as the westbound lane approaches Junction 12. BSC was one of the first Clubs in the UK to be awarded RYA Champion Club status.
Shahar Tzuberi is an Israeli windsurfer and Olympic bronze medalist, surfing in the "Neil Pryde" RS:X discipline. He is a nephew of Gad Tsobari, the 1972 Olympic wrestler who escaped from Arab terrorists during the Munich massacre. He is a three-time Olympian.

Nimrod Mashiah is an Israeli windsurfer.
Mayan Rafic is an Israeli windsurfer who won gold in the Techno 293 class competition at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics and silver in the Youth Men competition at the 2013 RS:X Windsurfing Youth World Championships.
Maayan Davidovich is an Israeli Olympic windsurfer.
Hannah Louise Mills, is a British competitive sailor and two-time world champion in the Women's 470 class, having won in 2012 and 2019. Mills won a silver medal for Team GB with her crew Saskia Clark in the 2012 Olympics, she followed this up with a gold in the same event at both the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and, partnered by Eilidh McIntyre, the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
Saskia Clark, is a British sailor and Olympic Gold medalist. She competed in the 2008 Summer Olympics and she was selected, along with Hannah Mills, to sail in the 470 Women's class for Team GB. They went on to win silver at the 2012 Olympic games and a gold medal at the 2016 games.
Lee (Lee-El) Korzits is an Israeli windsurfer who has won four Windsurfing World Championships titles. She competed in the 2004 Olympics, finishing 13th, and at the 2012 Olympics, finishing 6th.
Joanna Ayela Aleh is a New Zealand sailor. She is a national champion, a former world champion, and an Olympic gold medallist.
Katy Spychakov is an Israeli windsurfer. Spychakov won the 2015 Female Under 17 Techno 293 World Championships, the 2016 RS:X Class Youth Female World Championships, and the 2019 U21 Women's RS:X World Championships. She won a silver medal in the Women's 2019 RS:X World Championships.
Emma Wilson is a British windsurfer who won a bronze medal in the RS:X event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. She won the RS:X events at the Youth Sailing World Championships in 2016 and 2017, and won medals at the 2018 and 2019 RS:X European Championships, and the 2022 and 2023 IQFoil European Championships. She won her second Olympic bronze medal in the iQFoil at the 2024 Paris Games.
Matthew James Barton is a British windsurfer. He competes in windsurfing in the IQFoil class and won silver in the 2021 IQFoil World Championships.
Sharon Kantor is an Israeli world champion and Olympic windsurfer. Competing in the IQFoil class, she won the silver medal at the 2023 European Championships, and the gold medal at the 2024 World Championships. Representing Israel at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Kantor won the silver medal in the Women's IQ Foil in Marseille, France.
Islay Watson is a Scottish female windsurfer. She won two silver medals at the IQFoil European Championships in 2020 and 2021.
Tom Reuveny is an Israeli Olympic champion windsurfer, who specializes in the RS:X and iQFoil classes. He won gold medals at the 2017 RS:X Youth World Championships, the 2019 RS:X World Championships Men's U21, and the 2020 RS:X World Championships Men's U21. Representing Israel at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Reuveny won the gold medal in the Men's iQFoil.
Sam Sills is a British sailor. He competed in the IQFoil event at the 2024 Summer Olympics, where he reached the semi-finals.
Maja Dziarnowska is a Polish windsurfer, Olympian from the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, World Championship silver medalist in Formula Windsurfing and Funboard (2016), and European Championship bronze medalist in iQFoil (2022).
