Saskia Merk van Rijswijk (Amsterdam, 1961) is a Dutch Muay Thai champion and actress. [1] Currently[ when? ] she works as a hypnotherapist, mental coach and psychologist. [2] [ additional citation(s) needed ]
She started martial arts with full contact karate at the Chakuriki Gym in the Van Hallstraat in Amsterdam. While training at Chakuriki, her focus would shift to kickboxing and Muay Thai. In the 1980s she became Women's world champion in Muay Thai after beating a Thai female champion, Yupin Chotchai from Rayong Thailand, in the second round. [3] In mid-1980s, she was in a relationship with the Chakuriki Gym head coach Thom Harinck. [4] [5] After four months in possession of the world title, she turned to things other than Muay Thai.
She would work as a contest jury in various different competitions in Japan, Australia, the Netherlands Antilles and the United States.[ citation needed ] She also engaged in dancing, singing and acting. She played a small role in the Dutch film Grijpstra & De Gier and danced in the Lido in Amsterdam and in the Fiesta Tropical Show with Los Alegres. She appeared in Playboy magazine in 1987. [6]
In late 1980s, she began acting in movies. [7] She played a leading role in the movie "Fatal Mission", in which she performed all the fight and stunt scenes herself. [8]
In 1995, Saskia married Ted Merk. [ citation needed ] At the end of the 1990s, she presented "De Wedstrijd van de Week" (The Match of the Week) for RTL for a season, in which the matches from the World Wrestling Federation were broadcast.
Saskia van Rijswijk started teaching self-defense for women and youths. [9] She developed sports programs for the judiciary and gave sports lessons to detainees at the nl:Huis van bewaring. She also did aerobics clinics (video made in 1987) and many martial arts demonstrations abroad.
At a later age she started studying psychology and now[ when? ] has been working for years as a psychologist, mental coach and hypnotherapist and for more than 20 years as an occupational reintegration consultant. [10] [ additional citation(s) needed ]
She has her own practice for Hypnotherapy, Psychology, Coaching and Training in Groet (Municipality of Bergen Noord-Holland) and works for organizations in the reintegration industry. In 2009, a special about Saskia was broadcast by TROS, in the program: "The most beautiful girl in the class".

Thohsaphol Sitiwatjana is a Thai martial artist and Muay Thai instructor. He is known as Master Toddy because after moving to the UK, people were unable to pronounce his name correctly. Thohsaphon has been a Muay Thai instructor since the age of 16 and has trained over 40 world champions over 5 decades. He has also featured in several movies and produced his own television shows.

Xhavit Bajrami[a] is a Swiss former kickboxer who competed in the heavyweight division. A Seido karate practitioner and Andy Hug student, Bajrami built up an undefeated record domestically before he was recruited by K-1 where he won the K-1 Braves '99 tournament and finished as runner-up in two other tournaments. Chakuriki Gym was a kickboxing gym and headquartered the International Chakuriki Association located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. It was also known as Dojo Chakuriki, Pancration Chakuriki, and Chakuriki Amsterdam. Founded in 1972, it was one of the oldest and well-established kickboxing gyms in the Netherlands. It has produced many top-level kickboxers and including K-1 world champions such as Peter Aerts, Branko Cikatić and Badr Hari. It also provided training in wrestling, as well as instruction in knockdown karate, judo, boxing and mixed martial arts.
Amir "The Sphinx" Zeyada is an Egyptian-Dutch cruiserweight Muay Thai kickboxer currently fighting out of the Chakuriki Gym in Amsterdam, Netherlands, where he is trained by Thom Harinck. He is a former Dutch national champion who originally started fighting as a middleweight. Zeyada holds two notable knockout victories over the highly rated Tyrone Spong. Saskia Holleman was a Dutch actress, lawyer and model. She became widely known in the Netherlands when a picture in which she was naked in a meadow was used by the left-wing, pacifist political party Pacifist Socialist Party for its electoral campaign during the 1971 Dutch general election. Holleman trained as a lawyer in the 1970s and she specialised in petty crime for law firms and later as an independent.
