Saurav Jha is an Indian economic analyst, author, and commentator on geostrategic affairs. His first book, The Upside Down Book of Nuclear Power, was published by HarperCollins in March 2010 to favourable reviews, [1] [2] [3] [4] and was translated into several Indian languages. Jha has written for publications such as Le Monde Diplomatique, World Politics Review, The Diplomat, as well as national dailies such as Deccan Herald, The Telegraph and Hindustan Times.

Biography

An alumnus of Presidency College, Kolkata, and Jawaharlal Nehru University, Jha's second book The Heat and Dust Project: the Broke Couple’s Guide to Bharat, co-written with wife, Devapriya Roy, was published on 24 May 2015 and debuted at no.1 on the Hindustan Times-A.C. Nielsen list, and became a bestseller. [5] It chronicles the story of travelling through India on local buses "on a very very tight budget". The Heat and Dust Project, [6] [7] [8] [9] is also a first-of-its-kind dynamic book as the couple used Facebook to document their journey even as it was underway. [10] [11] In August 2022, Jha published his serious non-fiction book called Negotiating The New Normal, charting the course for India's economic recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2017, he founded the online journal Delhi Defence Review. [12]

Barfi! is a 2012 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy drama film directed by Anurag Basu and produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur under UTV Motion Pictures. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor as the eponymous lead, alongside Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D'Cruz in lead roles, with Saurabh Shukla, Ashish Vidyarthi, Haradhan Bandopadhyay and Jisshu Sengupta in supporting roles. Anupam Roy is an Indian singer, singer-songwriter, music director, composer, songwriter, guitarist, playback singer from Kolkata, West Bengal. He made his debut with Amake Amar Moto Thakte Dao & Benche Thakar Gaan, which appeared on the soundtrack of the 2010 Bengali film Autograph. Since then, he has gone on to compose, write lyrics and sing for many Bengali films. In 2015, he made his Bollywood debut, composing the songs and score for Piku. <i>Prohor</i> 2002 Indian film

Prohor is a 2002 Bengali feature film directed by Subhadro Chowdhury. The film is based on Dulendra Bhowmick's short story Dash Number Bed. The cinematographer of the film was Amlan Dutta. It revolves around a nurse who, in one night, discovers that there is a patient in her hospital, who once raped her brutally. It stars Debashree Roy in the central character. The film was edited by Saurav Sharangi and the background score was composed by Chiradeep Dasgupta.

S5 is the code name for a planned class of Indian nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarines currently being developed for Indian Navy. S5 will weigh around twice as much as the preceding Arihant-class submarine. It is expected to start production by 2022.
