Barely verifiable. The Mary Rose artifact is now identified as a sock. All other mentions of "scogger" that I can find seem to draw on the Mary Rose definition (see this RSX post for example). Oxford English Dictionary, accessible via WP:TWL, does not have an entry for this word, contrary to what the article says. No results at all for this word on a basic TWL search. No suitable redirect target. (proposed by Premeditated Chaos )
