The 10K run is a long-distance road running competition over a distance of ten kilometres. Also referred to as the 10K road race, 10 km, or simply 10K, it is one of the most common types of road running event, alongside the shorter 5K and longer half marathon and marathon. It is usually distinguished from the 10,000 metres track running event by stating the distance in kilometres, rather than metres.
The Great Ireland Run is an annual 10-kilometre road running competition which is held in Phoenix Park, Dublin, Ireland in mid-April. It is part of the Great Run series of athletics competitions. It is sponsored by SPAR and features both an elite race and a popular race.

Eilish McColgan is a Scottish middle- and long-distance runner. She is the 2022 Commonwealth Games 10,000 metres champion with the Games record, and 5000 metres silver medallist. McColgan is a four-time European Championships medallist, winning silver medals for the 5000 m in 2018 and 10,000 m in 2022, bronze in the 5000 m in 2022, and a bronze for the indoor 3000 metres in 2017. She is the European record holder for the 10 km road race, and the British record holder for the 5000 m, 10,000 m, 5 km and half marathon. She also holds the European best in the 10 miles on the roads.
The Canadian 5km Road Race Championships is the annual national championships for the 5K in Canada sanctioned by Athletics Canada.

Adizero: Road to Records is an annual elite running event hosted at the global headquarters of adidas in Herzogenaurach, Germany. Established in 2021, it is usually held at the end of April across a single day.

Natasha Phillips is a Scottish runner. In 2023, she broke the European U20 record for the half marathon. She then broke the record again at the Valencia Half Marathon in 2024 in a time of 70:18.
Romell Glave is a British track and field athlete who competes as a sprinter. He won the bronze medal in the 100 metres at the 2024 European Athletics Championships.
