Scott Burkell is an American lyricist, librettist, and former actor best known for his work in musical theatre. He has collaborated with Paul Loesel to develop musicals.
Burkell began his career as an actor, appearing in regional and off-Broadway productions.[ citation needed ] He was a replacement cast member in the original Broadway production of Titanic (1997). [1] He later formed a cabaret group known as J Glitz alongside Jonathan Larson and Marin Mazzie. [2] In regional theatre, he performed at The Barn Theatre in Augusta, Michigan.[ citation needed ]
