Scott Derwin is a leading Australian sport administrator. He was Chief Executive Officer of Surf Life Saving Australia, Australian Paralympic Committee and Basketball Australia. [1] In 2012, he became Chair of Basketball Australia.
Derwin grew up in Newcastle, New South Wales. [1] Whilst at school he was a competitive swimmer and after school concentrated on surf swimming. [1] He represented Merewether Surf Life Saving Club and in 1966-67 was Australian Senior Surf Race Champion and in 1967-68 was Australian Junior Belt Champion. [2] He became a lawyer and established a legal practice in the Newcastle area in 1978. [1]
Derwin sold his legal practice in 1992 to become Chief Executive Officer of Surf Life Saving Australia, a position that he held until 1996. [1] Derwin was Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Paralympic Federation for the period 1997 to 1999. During this period, the organisation changed its name to the Australian Paralympic Committee and prepared Australian athletes for the 2000 Sydney Paralympics. [3] Between 1999 and 2008, he was Chief Executive Officer of Basketball Australia. [1] Whilst undertaking this role, Derwin managed the unification of Basketball Australia with National Basketball League and Women's National Basketball League. [4] He then moved to the Sunshine Coast, Queensland in 2009 and has become involved in sport administration in this region. In 2011, he became Chairman of the Sunshine Coast Sports Federation and Chairman of the Bid Committee 2016 Australian Surf Lifesaving Championships, Sunshine Coast. [1] After a period as Chair of Basketball Queensland, he became Chair of Basketball Australia in 2012. [4]
He was President of the Confederation of Australian Sport between 1995 and 2002. [5]

Brendan John Burkett, OAM is an Australian swimmer who won five medals at four Paralympics and a silver medal at the 1994 Victoria Commonwealth Games.
Shane Walsh is a Paralympic swimming competitor from Australia. He was born at the Gold Coast, Queensland with cerebral palsy. He won a silver medal at the 2000 Sydney Games in the Men's 4 × 100 m Freestyle 34 pts event. He was an Australian Institute of Sport paralympic swimming scholarship holder in 2000. After the Games, he has managed bars and restaurants across the Gold Coast. In 2008, he took part in Surf Life Saving Queensland's Skills for Life Community Program.
Ryan Scott, is a Paralympic wheelchair rugby competitor from Australia. In four Paralympics, Scott has won a silver medal at the 2008 Beijing Paralympics and gold medals at the 2012 London and 2016 Rio Paralympics.
Gregory Neil Hartung AO is a leading Australian and international sport administrator. He has an extensive and distinguished career in sport particularly in terms of administration and journalism. He was President of the Australian Paralympic Committee from 1997–2013 and served as Vice-President of the International Paralympic Committee 2009–13.

Ramon (Ray) Gary Epstein, is an Australian Paralympic weightlifter and powerlifting coach. He represented Australia in weightlifting at the 1988 Seoul and 1992 Barcelona Paralympics and was Head Coach of the Australian Paralympic powerlifting team between 2003 and 2013.
Matthew Cameron is an Australian Paralympic athletics competitor. He competed at the 2008 Summer Paralympics. At the 2012 Summer Paralympics, he won a bronze medal.
Michael Scott is a leading Australian sports administrator. He was the inaugural Director of the New South Wales Institute of Sport and the sixth Director of the Australian Institute of Sport. In September 2017, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of High Performance Sport New Zealand.
Mark Peters OAM is an Australian former baseball player, and sport administrator. From 2012 to 2018, Peters was the chief executive officer of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation Organising Committee.
John Bloomfield is an Australian sport and sport science academic and author. Bloomfield played a crucial role in the development of the Australian high performance sport system between 1973 and 1989, particularly in relation to the Australian Institute of Sport and the Australian Sports Commission. While active in the above, he lectured and conducted research at the University of Western Australia and, from time to time, in North America and Eastern and Western Europe.
Robert McCullough OAM was a leading Australian sport administrator particularly in the area of disability sport. He was President of the Australian Paralympic Federation and the International Stoke Mandeville Wheelchair Sports Federation.
Kathleen Margaret "Katie" Kelly is an Australian paratriathlete, who has a degenerative disease known as Usher syndrome. Kelly began competing in the PT5 paratriathlon classification in February 2015 when her condition deteriorated to a legally blind state. She has just 30 per cent of her vision. With her guide Michellie Jones, Kelly won gold medals at the 2015 and 2017 ITU World Championships and 2016 Rio Paralympics. She competed at the 2020 Summer Paralympics.
Andrew John Edmondson is an Australian wheelchair rugby player. He won a gold medal at the 2016 Rio Paralympics as a member of the Australian Steelers. He has been selected for 2020 Summer Paralympics, his second Games.
Catherine Clark is an Australian sport administrator. In 2021, she was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of Paralympics Australia commencing in January 2022. She has held several Chief Executive Officer positions with state and national sports organisations.
