Scott Hicks (born April 3, 1966) is an American former college basketball coach. He was head coach at Le Moyne College, University at Albany, SUNY and Loyola University Maryland.
Hicks came to Le Moyne as a student-athlete in 1984 to play for coach John Beilein. He was a four-year letterman for the Dolphins, leading the team to the East Regional of 1988 NCAA Division II men's basketball tournament. Following his college career, he played professionally for the Rheineck Sea Horses in New Zealand. He received his first college coaching job as an assistant at Hamilton College, where he served from 1988 to 1990. He then obtained a master's degree in higher education administration from Syracuse University, where he also served as a graduate assistant for the men's basketball team. [1]
In 1992, Hicks was hired by his alma mater as the youngest head men's basketball coach in the NCAA at age 26. He spent five seasons at Le Moyne, compiling a five-year record of 87–56. In 1997, Hicks was hired as head coach at Albany as the school was making a move from Division II to Division I status. [1] Hicks led the Great Danes through the division transition process and led the team to an 11–17 record in its first season as a Division I independent in 1999–2000. He then left for the head coaching position at Loyola in Baltimore, Maryland. [2]
Hicks spent four seasons at the helm of the Greyhounds, compiling a record of 16–97. The 2003–04 season was a particularly dismal one for Hicks and the Greyhounds. The team extended a 31-game losing streak that threatened to match the NCAA futility record (33 games). Hicks was fired after his team went 1–27 for the season. [3] [4]
George Edward "Skip" Prosser was an American college basketball coach who was head men's basketball coach at Wake Forest University at the time of his death. He was the only coach in NCAA history to take three separate schools to the NCAA tournament in his first year coaching the teams. In 21 years as a collegiate coach, he made 18 postseason appearances.

They are currently led by third-year head coach Tavaras Hardy. It became a member of the Patriot League along with the university's other intercollegiate athletic programs on July 1, 2013. Home matches are played at Reitz Arena.
Joe Logan is the former head coach of the Loyola University Maryland women's basketball team, an NCAA Division I program that competes in the Patriot League. Logan was named head coach at Loyola on May 12, 2005, after spending the previous four seasons (2001–2005) as a women's basketball assistant coach at St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia.
Jen Adams is the head women's lacrosse coach at Loyola University Maryland and was an All-American lacrosse player at the University of Maryland from 1998 to 2001, leading the Terrapins to national titles for four straight years, including a perfect 21 and 0 record in 1999, as well as a perfect 23 and 0 record in 2001. Maryland under coach Cindy Timchal won seven national titles in a row from 1995 through 2001. The Maryland lacrosse team has more Women's Division I lacrosse titles (14) than any other program. In the 2000 NCAA Lacrosse championship game, Adams scored five goals and had five assists, all in the second half, to turn a close game into a 16–8 victory over Princeton. While at Maryland, Adams was the first ever recipient of the Honda Award for women's lacrosse, awarded to the top player in a Division I school.
Mark Mettrick is an English-American former soccer player who played four seasons as a midfielder in the Major Indoor Soccer League and three in the USISL. He is currently the head coach of Gettysburg College.
The Loyola Greyhounds men's lacrosse team represents Loyola University Maryland in NCAA Division I lacrosse. Its home matches are played at the Ridley Athletic Complex. Charley Toomey has served as its head coach since 2006. It became a member of the Patriot League along with the university's other intercollegiate athletic programs on July 1, 2013. The Greyhounds were a member of the ECAC Lacrosse League from 2005 to 2013. It became the first member of the conference to win a national championship in 2012. It was also the first national title in the university's Division I history.
Dave Cottle is an American lacrosse coach. He is currently head coach of the Chesapeake Bayhawks of Major League Lacrosse and also a consultant for Marquette University, which announced it was adding men's and women's varsity lacrosse on December 16, 2010. He was previously the head coach for the Maryland Terrapins men's lacrosse team at the University of Maryland from 2002 to 2010. Cottle also coached the Loyola College men's lacrosse team from 1983 to 2001.
The UMBC Retrievers men's lacrosse team represents the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I men's college lacrosse competition. The Retrievers play their home games at UMBC Stadium, located in Baltimore, Maryland with a capacity of 4,500 spectators. UMBC competes as a member of the America East Conference. The program has an all-time record of 373–344 including pre-NCAA results.
Donald Zimmerman is a television analyst and former American college lacrosse coach. He became a color analyst for ESPN in May 2016 and does both high school and college lacrosse games. Prior to becoming an analyst, he served as the head coach for the UMBC Retrievers at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County for 24 years. Between 1984 and 1987, Zimmerman coached Johns Hopkins to three national championships. Zimmerman was inducted into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2017.
The Loyola Greyhounds men's soccer team represents Loyola University Maryland in NCAA Division I soccer. It became a member of the Patriot League on July 1, 2013. Previously it competed in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) from 1989 to 2013. To avoid ambiguity, the team is often referenced as Loyola Maryland or Loyola (MD), as there are two other institutions named Loyola that compete at the Division I level.
The James Madison Dukes men's basketball team is the intercollegiate men's basketball program representing James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. The school, a member of Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association, joined the Sun Belt Conference on July 1, 2022 after having been a member of the Colonial Athletic Association since that league's establishment in 1979. The Dukes are led by head coach Mark Byington. The Dukes play their home games at the on-campus Atlantic Union Bank Center which seats 8,500 fans and opened in November 2020.

They finished the season 16–17, 8–10 in Patriot League play to finish in a tie for sixth place with Colgate. As the No. 7 seed in the Patriot League tournament, they defeated Lafayette in the first round before losing in the quarterfinals to Boston University. They received an invitation to the College Basketball Invitational where they defeated George Mason in the first round before losing in the quarterfinals to Coastal Carolina.
