The Country Liberal Party of the Northern Territory (CLP) is a centre-right political party in Australia's Northern Territory. In local politics it operates in a two-party system with the Australian Labor Party (ALP). It also contests federal elections as an affiliate of the Liberal Party of Australia and National Party of Australia,the two partners in the federal coalition.
Clare Majella Martin is a former Australian journalist and politician. She was elected to the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly in a shock by-election win in 1995. She was appointed Opposition Leader in 1999,and won a surprise victory at the 2001 territory election,becoming the first Labor Party (ALP) and first female Chief Minister of the Northern Territory. At the 2005 election,she led Territory Labor to the second-largest majority government in the history of the Territory,before resigning as Chief Minister on 26 November 2007.

She was a member of the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly from 2001 to 2012,representing the electorate of Arafura. Michael Patrick Francis Gunner is an Australian politician and was the 11th Chief Minister of the Northern Territory from 2016 to 2022. He is a Labor member of the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly,having held his seat of Fannie Bay in Darwin since the retirement of then Chief Minister Clare Martin at the 2008 election.

It was created in 2012 when the former division of MacDonnell was renamed after the Aboriginal artist Albert Namatjira. Namatjira is an almost entirely rural electorate,covering 198,384 km²,and taking in the resort town of Yulara,the remote communities of Hermannsburg,Kintore and Papunya,and part of southern Alice Springs. There were 5,728 electors enrolled in Namatjira as of August 2020.
Kenneth Edward Vowles is an Australian politician and former cricketer from the Northern Territory. He was a member of the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly from 2012 until 2020,representing the electorate of Johnston. He was Minister for Primary Industry and Resources and Minister for Aboriginal Affairs in the Gunner government from 2016 to 2018. He was sacked as a minister and expelled from the Labor caucus in December 2018 and subsequently remained in parliament as a Labor backbencher outside caucus,but announced his resignation from parliament in November 2019 with effect from January 2020.
Natasha Kate Fyles is an Australian politician and former teacher serving as the 12th and current chief minister of the Northern Territory and minister for Health. She has been the leader of the Northern Territory branch of the Australian Labor Party (ALP) since May 2022 and a member of the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly (MLA) for the division of Nightcliff since August 2012. She previously served as 22nd attorney-general of the Norther Territory and the territory’s minister for Justice from 2016 to 2020.

He was member of the governing Labor Party,but was one of three MPs excluded from the Labor caucus on 21 December 2018 over alleged criticism of the government,and resigned from the party on 8 February 2019 to sit as an independent. In March 2020 he joined the Territory Alliance as its second MP.

The Gunner Ministry was the ministry of the 11th Chief Minister of the Northern Territory,Michael Gunner. It came into operation on 31 August 2016,succeeding the Giles Country Liberal ministry,and ended on 13 May 2022,succeeded by the Fyles ministry.
The 2020 Northern Territory general election was held on 22 August 2020 to elect all 25 members of the Legislative Assembly in the unicameral Northern Territory Parliament.
