Scott Secor (born April 3, 1992) is a former American football Placekicker for the Ball State Cardinals. Finished the regular season ranked 2nd in the FBS 1-A with 25 field goals made behind Josh Lambert from WVU with 27. With 25 field goals 2014 Secor is tied for 1st place in Ball State history with the most field goals in a single season, 2014 (John Diettrich 1985 & Steven Schott 2012). With 60 extra points in 2013, Secor is 2nd in Ball States record book behind Ian McGarvey, 2008. [1]
Secor made 25 out of 32 fields goals in his high school career including one for 51 yards. As a senior, he was named to the all-state second team.
After a redshirt season in 2010, Secor's played in his first college game in the 27–20 victory over Indiana University at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind. In this game Cardinal fans were introduced to new head coach Pete Lembo. Secor predominantly handles the kickoff duties for the Cardinals in 2011
Secor played in all 13 games, including the Beef 'O' Brady's Bowl St. Petersburg, FL. Again he handled the kickoff duties for the Cardinals. He had a season high nine kickoffs vs. Ohio for season best 510 yards. Other highlights included seven kickoffs vs Army & Indiana. And eight kickoffs vs. Eastern Michigan, at Kent State and at Central Michigan.
Secor made his first career field goal attempt on a 22-yarder in the 51–28 win over Illinois State . He also made six extra points vs. Illinois State in the season opener. Highlights from 2013 include six extra points and two made field goals in the 48–27 win over Virginia. [2] Secor made 13 consecutive field goals, the second longest streak in Ball State history, before missing one in the GoDaddy Bowl. He would finish the season 19 of 21 field goals and 60 extra points.
Finished the regular season ranked 1st in the FBS 1-A with 25 field goals made. [3] Secor starts all 12 games in his senior season. Highlights include five field goals and 17 points scored vs Akron. Secor made a career long 55 yard field goal to win the game in the 32–29 victory over Central Michigan. [4] Secor punted for a single-game record of 160 yards in the 17–13 loss to Iowa. Secor recorded his longest punt of 63 yards vs Toledo. Secor was named the 2014 MAC Special Teams Player of the Year. [5] As well as being named to the 2014 All-MAC First Team Offense. [6]
Stephen Carroll Gostkowski is an American former football placekicker who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 15 seasons. A member of the New England Patriots for most of his career, he is the franchise's all-time leading scorer. Gostkowski played college football for the Memphis Tigers and was selected in the fourth round of the 2006 NFL draft by the Patriots, where he spent his first 14 seasons. In his final season, he played for the Tennessee Titans.

The 2007 Sheraton Hawaii Bowl was a post-season college football bowl game between the Boise State University Broncos from the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) and the East Carolina University Pirates from Conference USA (C-USA). This sixth edition of the Hawaii Bowl, sponsored by Sheraton Hotels and Resorts, was played at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu on December 23, 2007. The game was the final competition of the 2007 football season for each team and resulted in a 41–38 East Carolina victory, even though sportsbooks favored Boise State to win by 10+1⁄2 points. Many experts believed East Carolina to be big underdogs to Boise State, which had defeated the Oklahoma Sooners in the 2007 Fiesta Bowl. The 2007 Hawaiʻi Bowl paid $750,000 to each team's conference in exchange for their participation.
Peter Lembo is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the head coach at the University at Buffalo. Previously, he was the special teams coordinator at the University of South Carolina, where, in 2022, he oversaw the highest rated special teams unit in college football. Prior to that, he was the assistant head coach and special teams coordinator at the University of Memphis, a position he assumed in January 2019. Prior to Memphis, he was the associate head coach and special teams coordinator at Rice University. Before joining the coaching staff at Rice University, he was the head coach at Lehigh University from 2001 to 2005, at Elon University from 2006 to 2010, and at Ball State University from 2011 to 2015. He was also the assistant head coach and special teams coordinator at the University of Maryland for two seasons. Lembo enjoyed success in each of his three stops as a head coach and accumulated a 112–65 career record over a 15-year period. His 79–36 record in ten seasons at the FCS level makes him one of the winningest coaches in the history of that classification.

Ryan Barrow Succop is an American football placekicker who is a free agent. He played college football at South Carolina and was the 2009 Mr. Irrelevant by virtue of being selected by the Kansas City Chiefs with the final pick of the 2009 NFL draft. Succop was the Buccaneers starting placekicker in their 31–9 victory over the Chiefs in Super Bowl LV, becoming the first Mr. Irrelevant to play and win a Super Bowl as a starter and an active player.

The 2013 Allstate Sugar Bowl was a postseason college football bowl game on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. The game featured the Florida Gators of the SEC and the Louisville Cardinals of the Big East. The game was broadcast live on ESPN at 8:30 PM ET. The 2014 GoDaddy Bowl was an American college football bowl game that was played on January 5, 2014, at the Ladd–Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama. The fifteenth edition of the GoDaddy Bowl, it featured the Ball State Cardinals from the Mid-American Conference and the Arkansas State Red Wolves, co-champions of the Sun Belt Conference. It was one of the 2013–14 bowl games that concluded the 2013 FBS football season. The game began at 8:00 p.m. CST and aired on ESPN. It was sponsored by web hosting service company Go Daddy. Arkansas State defeated Ball State by a score of 23–20.
