Walter Scott Williams, known professionally as Scotty ATL, is an American rapper, songwriter, record producer, and entrepreneur.
ATL attributes his interest in hip-hop to both of his parents, noting that his mother would often play 2Pac around the house. [1] As he grew older, he took a serious interest in music, along with a friend, King J, who was a rapper. [1] ATL used the equipment to create a recording studio in his family's basement and started to record CDs to sell at school. [1] [2]
Upon graduating from Redan High School in Atlanta, Scotty attended Savannah State University to play basketball. [1] He rededicated himself to music and, as part of the group Monopoly Fleet that he had formed in high school, released an album titled 2339 Underground Boyz. [1] While still in college, Scotty and Monopoly Fleet signed a record deal following the release of 2339 Underground Boyz and began traveling from Atlanta to Savannah to focus on recording a new album, though the deal ultimately fell through. [1] With the failed deal behind him, Scotty moved back to Atlanta and "got involved in the whole little street life," focusing less on music. [1]
Scotty ATL formed his own label imprint, Cool Club.[ citation needed ] He released projects such as In the Meantime, The Jiffy Cornbread Experience, F.A.I.T.H. (Forever Atlanta in the Heart),In the Meantime 2, and SPAGHETTI Junction.[ citation needed ] In 2014, he joined forces with Grammy-nominated artist B.o.B.'s No Genre imprint and embarked on a nationwide tour billed as the Cool Club Tour. The following year, he was featured on the remix to Curren$y's "Cloud IX" and followed the appearance up with The Cooligan, a 16-track project hosted by DJ Scream and DJ Mike Mars.[ citation needed ] The mixtape featured collaborations with Curren$y, CyHi The Prynce, 8Ball, Devin The Dude, and B.O.B., with production credits to KE On The Track, DJ Burn One, and Drumma Boy.[ citation needed ]
Eventually he caught the attention of No Genre label president B.o.B. and was invited to perform with him on stage at the 20th anniversary of Hot 107.9's birthday bash in 2015.[ citation needed ] He also performed on the Next to Blow stage on the same day.[ citation needed ] He then hit the road for the No Genre Tour in 2015 and lent his talents to open for Big K.R.I.T. in 29 cities.[ citation needed ] Scotty ATL also appeared on the now-defunct BET program 106 & Park, where he did a backroom freestyle.[ citation needed ]
Scotty ATL created the No Handouts Tour with a mix of established and emerging rappers in a number of key cities throughout the southeastern region.[ citation needed ] He is the proprietor of a grill company that has supplied custom gold mouthpieces to rap counterparts such as Trinidad James, Rich Homie Quan, K Camp, Killer Mike, and Trouble.[ citation needed ] Additionally, he owns rental property throughout Georgia. and volunteers his time to motivate inner city youth to stay on the correct path.[ citation needed ] His 2019 project, "Stream, was officially released on May 11, featuring the likes of the late Bankroll Fresh, King Shy, Euro, Wurld, Curtis Snow, and more.[ citation needed ]
In January 2013, Scotty ATL embarked on his first headline tour, the Cool Club Tour, with opening act League of Extraordinary Gz, also appearing on select dates of the tour were artists including Starlito, SL Jones, DJ Burn One, Big Sant, and other local acts. In 2015 he went on the Slow Motion Tour with Jarren Benton, the All Eyes On Me Tour with Iamsu, & the Kritically Acclaimed Tour with Big K.R.I.T. and BJ the Chicago Kid.

Asher Paul Roth is an American rapper. His debut single "I Love College" in 2009 is considered the birth of the frat rap genre. Roth released his debut studio album Asleep in the Bread Aisle, on April 20, 2009, by Universal Motown, SRC, and School Boy Records; the latter of which was launched by Roth's former manager Scooter Braun. Roth later left Schoolboy Records in late 2012, due to creative differences with Braun. In 2013, Roth signed with indie record label Federal Prism, on which he released his second studio album, RetroHash.
Bobby Ray Simmons Jr., known professionally as B.o.B, is an American rapper, singer, and record producer. Raised in Decatur, Georgia, Simmons signed with producer Jim Jonsin through his Rebel Rock Entertainment label in 2006. Two years later, he signed a joint venture recording contract with fellow Georgia rapper T.I.'s Grand Hustle Records, an imprint of Atlantic Records. Following his major-label deal, Simmons quickly achieved commercial success when his 2009 debut single, "Nothin' on You", peaked the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and received three nominations—Record of the Year, Best Rap Song, and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration—at the 53rd Grammy Awards.

He was signed to Def Jam Recordings by Sha Money XL in 2010, and first gained recognition following the release of his single "Country Shit". The following year, he guest appeared on T.I.'s promotional single "I'm Flexin'", which became Scott's first entry on the Billboard Hot 100.

Trap is a subgenre of hip hop music that originated in the Southern United States, with lyrical references to trap starting in 1991 but the modern sound of trap appearing in 1999. The genre gets its name from the Atlanta slang term "trap house", a house used exclusively to sell drugs. Trap music is known for its simple, rhythmic, minimalistic productions that uses synthesized drums, and is characterized by complex hi-hat patterns, snare drums, bass drums, some tuned with a long decay to emit a bass frequency, and lyrical content that often focuses on drug use and urban violence.
Nicholaus Joseph Williams, better known by his stage name Trinidad James, is a Trinidadian-American rapper and songwriter. In December 2012, he signed a recording contract with Def Jam Recordings and released his debut single, "All Gold Everything". The song reached number 36 on the Billboard Hot 100, received platinum certification by the RIAA, and spawned a remix featuring fellow Georgia-based rappers T.I., Jeezy and 2 Chainz. He was dropped from the label in 2014 after failing to promptly record a debut album.

Antoine Amari Reed is an American rapper better known by his stage name Sir Michael Rocks. He started his music career in 2005 as a member of the hip hop duo The Cool Kids, and later joined the groups All City Chess Club, the "super group" P.O.C., and The Toothpick Clique. The Cool Kids released their debut album When Fish Ride Bicycles in 2011, which features production by The Neptunes and artists such as Ghostface Killah. The 2014 BET Hip Hop Awards was held on October 14, 2014 at Atlanta Civic Center in the ATL. The nominations were announced on September 4, 2014. Snoop Dogg returned as the event's host. Canadian rapper Drake leads the nominations with 8 nominations, while Jay-Z, Pharrell and Future follow him with six. DJ Mustard won the most awards with 4 wins, followed by Drake with 3 wins.
Cydel Charles Young, known professionally as CyHi the Prynce, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter from Stone Mountain, Georgia. He signed a major label recording contract with Akon's Konvict Muzik, in a joint venture with Def Jam Recordings in 2009. The following year, he gained mainstream attention for his guest appearance alongside Jay-Z, Pusha T, Swizz Beatz, and RZA on Kanye West's 2010 song "So Appalled" from his album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (2010). He was then credited with extensive songwriting work on West's further releases, resulting in five Grammy Award nominations for Best Rap Song, as well as one further nomination for his work on Travis Scott's 2018 single "Sicko Mode."
The 2011 BET Hip Hop Awards was held on October 11, 2011 at Atlanta Civic Center in the ATL. The show were hosted by Mike Epps. The most nominated act of the ceremony was Lil Wayne with 18 nods, followed by Kanye West and Wiz Khalifa with 9. Rick Ross was the third most nominated with 8 nods, while Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj each scored 6.
