Sea Shimooka is an American actress. She is best known for playing Emiko Queen in the superhero series Arrow and Jenn Lamonde in the drama series Rescue: HI-Surf .

Early life

Shimooka was born in San Francisco, California on February 6 1995. ^[1] She played volleyball in high school. She graduated from the New York University Tisch School of the Arts in 2016 with a degree in Drama. She is of Japanese, Native Hawaiian, French, and English descent. ^[2]

Career

Her first big role came playing the Emiko Queen in the superhero series Arrow . ^{[3] [4]} She played Jenn Lamonude in the drama series Rescue: HI-Surf . ^[5] She had a recurring role on the portraying on the sci-fi series 3 Body Problem portraying Sophon. ^[6] She made her directorial debut shooting the short film Berlin in Germany. ^[7]

Personal life

Shimooka is a lesbian. She initially struggled with loneliness and low self esteem, Being an Asian-American she has been very critical of the white-washing of Asian roles. ^[8]
