Seacliff AFC was a soccer club based in the Otago region of New Zealand's South Island. They are notable for being the first team to win the Chatham Cup competition. They contested the final on later occasions in 1924, 1925, and 1929. Many of the team came from the staff of the Seacliff Lunatic Asylum; with the demise of the hospital in the 1940s, the team went into hiatus.
A new team using the Seacliff name formed in the early 1980s and competed in the Chatham Cup between 1990 and 1997, reaching the second round in 1994. The new team was initially largely from the staff of the Cherry Farm Hospital which had been built to replace the Seacliff institution; with the closure of this hospital, the team also soon disbanded.
The Chatham Cup, currently known as the ISPS Handa Chatham Cup for sponsorship purposes, is New Zealand's premier knockout tournament in men's association football. It is held annually, with the final contested in September. The current champions of the Chatham Cup are 2019 winners Napier City Rovers, who defeated Melville United 3–2 in the final. What would have been the current edition of the competition for 2020, was cancelled because of COVID-19.

When built in the late 19th century, it was the largest building in the country, noted for its scale and extravagant architecture. It became infamous for construction faults resulting in partial collapse, as well as a 1942 fire which destroyed a wooden outbuilding, claiming 37 lives, because the victims were trapped in a locked ward.

Chatham Township High School (CTHS) was a public high school that existed from 1962 through 1988, located on Lafayette Avenue in Chatham Township, in Morris County, New Jersey, United States. CTHS had as its mascot the Gladiator. The school became defunct when the township and Chatham Borough merged their independent school systems to create the School District of the Chathams. The current Chatham High School shared by both municipalities occupies the building that had been used by Chatham Township High School.
