Seamie Granaghan is an Irish Gaelic footballer who played for the Donegal county team. [1]
Along with Brian McEniff, he won a joint record eight Donegal Senior Football Championship winners' medals during the 1960s and 1970s. [2]
He was half-forward during Donegal's 1972 and 1974 Ulster Senior Football Championship final victories. [3] He was the only player to score in every game during both 1972 and 1974 runs. [4]
Handball had a role in his development. [5] His daughter married Paul Brennan in October 2023. [6]
Danny Gillespie won eight SFC medals with Gaoth Dobhair in the 1930s and '40s, while St Joseph's duo Brian McEniff and Seamie Granaghan won eight in the '60s and '70s.
