Sean Gravina (born 21 October 1986) is a Maltese chef and a former water polo player with Neptunes WPSC. [1] He is probably best known for appearing in the quarter-final of Series 7 of Master Chef on BBC2 in 2014. [2] He is currently Chef Patron at Crust. [3] [4]
An ITS graduate, Sean started his career cooking at The Hilton Malta and Chez Phillipe. This was followed by a stint at London's Le Cordon Bleu, where he received a Cuisine Diploma. [5] While in London, Sean worked for Gordon Ramsay at Maze in Mayfair, [6] as well as London's The Dorchester under the guidance of Chef Wolfgang Puck. [7]
In May 2016, it was announced that Sean and his partner, Ira Losco, were expecting a baby. [8] [9] Their son, Harry, was born on 25 August 2016. [10] On 1 December 2019, Sean and Ira got married. [11] On 14 November 2020, Sean became a father for the second time, when his wife Ira gave birth to their daughter, Gigi. [12]
Malta has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 36 times since its debut in 1971. The current Maltese participant broadcaster in the contest is the Public Broadcasting Services (PBS). Malta has yet to win the contest, but is the only non-winning country to have achieved four top three results.
Ira Losco M.Q.R. is a Maltese pop singer. Her career breakthrough came in 2002, when she represented Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 with the song "7th Wonder". She placed second in the competition, Malta's best ever result. Fourteen years later, she returned and represented Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song "Walk on Water", placing twelfth. Losco has released six studio albums so far in her career and is one of the most successful Maltese musicians of all time. In 2018, she served as a judge on the inaugural season of X Factor Malta. She returned to serve as a judge in 2019.
Gerard James Borg is a Maltese songwriter, author, and concept creator. He is well known for writing multiple songs that competed in the Eurovision Song Contest.
Philip Vella is a Maltese musical composer. He has won the main national festivals of Malta several times such as the Malta Song for Europe, International Festival of Maltese Song as well as L-Għanja tal-Poplu festival. He has successfully competed in International festivals in the Netherlands, finalist in the Belgian Song for Eurovision competition in 2006, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Kazakhstan, Romania as well as six times representing Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest, placing 2nd in 2002 in Estonia with the song "7th Wonder", in 2000 in Sweden with the song "Desire", in 2004 in Turkey with the song ‘On Again... Off Again’ and in 2007 in Finland with the song "Vertigo" that received over 31,000 televotes in Malta. For 2008 he composed the song "Vodka" sung by Morena.
Gianluca Bezzina is a Maltese medical doctor and part-time singer who represented Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö, Sweden.
Ella Molly Natalia Pettersson Hammar, known professionally as Molly Hammar, is a Swedish singer and songwriter who participated in the talent show Idol 2011 broadcast on TV4, where she reached fourth place.
Malta participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song "Walk on Water" written by Lisa Desmond, Tim Larsson, Tobias Lundgren, Molly Pettersson Hammar and Ira Losco. The Maltese entry for the 2017 contest in Kyiv, Ukraine was selected through the national final Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2017, organised by the Maltese broadcaster Public Broadcasting Services (PBS). The competition consisted of a final, held on 18 February 2017, where "Breathlessly" performed by Claudia Faniello eventually emerged as the winning entry after gaining 26% of the public televote.
Christabelle Borg, sometimes known as simply Christabelle, is a Maltese singer, songwriter, and television presenter. She represented Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal, with the song "Taboo", but failed to qualify for the final, finishing in 13th place with 101 points.
X Factor Malta is the Maltese version of the British television music competition The X Factor, created by Simon Cowell. The first season premiered on 7 October 2018 and has since been broadcast on Television Malta. The show was used to determine the artist that would represent Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2019 and 2020. In July 2020, it was announced that the show would be replaced by Malta's Got Talent, but after a one-year hiatus, a third season began in October 2021. Season four started on 8 October 2023.

Malta originally planned to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 with the song "All of My Love" written by Bernarda Brunović, Borislav Milanov, Sebastian Arman, Dag Lundberg, Joacim Persson and Cesár Sampson. The song was performed by Destiny, who had previously represented Malta at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in the 2015 edition where she achieved first place with the song "Not My Soul". Songwriter Cesár Sampson previously represented Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest in the 2018 edition where he achieved third place with the song "Nobody but You". The Maltese entry for the 2020 contest in Rotterdam, Netherlands, was selected through the second season of the music competition X Factor Malta, organised by the Maltese broadcaster Public Broadcasting Services (PBS). The competition concluded with a final on 8 February 2020 where Destiny eventually emerged as the winner. The song Destiny would perform at the Eurovision Song Contest, "All of My Love", was internally selected and was released to the public on 9 March.

The chief of staff is appointed by the prime minister as its senior aid. This position acts as the principal advisor to the prime minister and it coordinates the work action of the different departments of the government.
Robert Abela is a Maltese lawyer and politician who has served as prime minister of Malta and leader of the Malta Labour Party since 2020. The son of former President George Abela, he was elected to Parliament in 2017. Abela was sworn in as prime minister following the resignation of Joseph Muscat on 13 January 2020.

The current line-up consists of frontman Joe Roscoe, Peter Borg (guitars), Aleandro Spiteri Monsigneur (keyboardist), and Ivan Borg (bassist). The original line-up was made up of Matthew James Borg, Peter Borg (guitars), Jonas Delicata (guitars), Ivan Borg, and Raphael Tonna (drums).

"Rip (Rest in Peace)" (stylised in all uppercase) is a song by Maltese singers Aidan and Ira Losco released on 1 January 2023. The song was produced by Boban Apostolov and peaked at number one on Malta's singles charts.
"Hey Now" is a song by Maltese singer Ira Losco featuring Maltese rapper Owen Leuellen. It was first released in Losco's fifth studio album No Sinner No Saint (2018) before being released as a single featuring Leuellen in 2019. The song was number one on Malta's singles charts for sixteen weeks.
