Sean de Silva (born 17 January 1990) is a Trinidadian professional footballer. [3]

Club career

Born in Port-of-Spain, De Silva played youth football in his native Trinidad and Tobago for St. Ann's Rangers, before attending the College of Charleston in the United States. [4]

On 2 May 2013, according to a tweet, De Silva signed with NASL club Minnesota United FC. [5]

However following the end of his university education De silva returned to his native country to play for Central Fc.

International career

De Silva played youth international football for Trinidad and Tobago, participating in the 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup and 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup. [6] De Silva made his full international debut in March 2009. [7]

Seasons run from September to May, with teams playing 18 games each totaling 90 games in the season. TT Premier Football League clubs also play in other competitions, such as the FA Trophy, League Cup, TOYOTA Classic, Goal Shield, and Pro Bowl against domestic clubs from other divisions; and against clubs from other countries in the CONCACAF Caribbean Cup and the CONCACAF Champions Cup.

The CONCACAF U-20 Championship traditionally serves as the CONCACAF qualifier for the FIFA U-20 World Cup, and under the 2009 tournament format the four semifinalists qualified for the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup, which was hosted by Egypt from 25 September to 16 October 2009.
