Seaview Gardens

Seaview Gardens is a community in the St. Andrew South section of Kingston, Jamaica. It is known for the reggae superstars who grew up there. [1] Musicians such as Dexta Daps have paid tribute to the area in song, noting violence and struggle, but also community and culture such as Shabba Ranks mom cooking (Shabba Madda Pot). [2] The area is mentioned in the T.O.K. song "Footprints".

In October 2017 residents protested poor road conditions in the area. [3] In December 2017, the government of Jamaica announced the opening of Drug Serv Pharmacy at the community's health centre. [4]

Rexton Rawlston Fernando Gordon, better known by his stage name Shabba Ranks, is a Jamaican dancehall musician. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, he was one of the most popular Jamaican musicians in the world. Throughout his prominence in his home country as a dancehall artist, he gained popularity in North America with his studio album, Just Reality, in 1990. He released two studio albums, As Raw as Ever and X-tra Naked, which both won a Grammy Award as Best Reggae Album in 1992 and 1993, respectively. He is notoriously popular for "Mr. Loverman" and "Ting-A-Ling", which were globally acclaimed and deemed his signature songs.

The program is done over a span of about 2yrs after graduation from pharmacy school and licensure as a pharmacist. Pharmacy residency helps improve the resume of a pharmacist so as to increase chances of obtaining employment outside community practice. A 2022 review suggested that there is sufficient evidence that residency develops key competencies for junior pharmacists.

Louis Grandison, known by his stage name Dexta Daps, Dappa Don or Dexta, is a Jamaican dancehall and reggae performer. Grandison’s career began in 2012 with the release of his first two singles "Save me Jah" and "May you be". Though he has made many songs in between the periods, he really began gaining public recognition in 2014 with his songs "Morning Love", and "Jealous Ova", the latter of which featured another upcoming dancehall artist Tifa. Dexta Daps rode this wave of popularity into 2015. With the release of "Shabba Madda Pot" having over 13 million views on Youtube, this song is one of Grandison’s most iconic songs. He has collaborated with many dancehall artists including Kranium, Masicka, Movado, and international artists like M.I.A, Davido, Kiesza, and Tory Lanez. Dexta Daps is praised for his versatility, unique voice, style and, performances.

Michelle Downer, commonly known as D'Angel, is a Jamaican reggae singer, actress, model, and brand ambassador. She has also given motivational speeches. In 2017, she released No Worries with Spice. The Gleaner calls her the First Lady of dancehall.
