Sebastien E. Boucher (born October 19,1981) is a Canadian former professional baseball outfielder.
Boucher played college baseball for the Bethune–Cookman Wildcats. In 2004,he was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Player of the Year. In 2021,on the occasion of the conference's fiftieth anniversary,he was named to the MEAC All-Time Baseball Team. [1]
Boucher was originally drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 7th round (213th overall) in the 2004 Major League Baseball draft from Bethune–Cookman.
On August 9,2007,Boucher was traded to the Baltimore Orioles for LHP John Parrish.
He moved on to independent baseball,playing with the Quebec Capitales in the Can-Am League where he won the batting title in 2014.
Boucher also played for the Canadian national team at the 2006 World Baseball Classic.
Jason Robert Beverlin is an American baseball coach and former pitcher,who is the current pitching coach of the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers. He played college baseball at Western Carolina as well as in Major League Baseball (MLB) and Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB). He played one season in the United States and three seasons in Japan. He also served as the head coach of Bethune-Cookman Wildcats (2012–2017).
Alvin B. Wyatt is a former American football player and coach of football and basketball. He played professionally as a defensive back in the National Football League (NFL) with the Oakland Raiders,Buffalo Bills,and Houston Oilers and in World Football League (WFL) with the Jacksonville Sharks. Wyatt served as the head football coach at his alma mater,Bethune–Cookman University from 1997 to 2009 and Edward Waters College from 2013 to 2017,compiling a career college football coaching record of 100–92. He was also the head women's basketball coach at Bethune–Cookman from 1978 to 1996,tallying a mark of 245–201.
The Bethune–Cookman Wildcats football team represents Bethune–Cookman University in the sport of college football. The Wildcats compete in the Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Starting with the fall 2021 season,they compete in the East Division of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC),after having been members of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) since 1979. They play their home games at Daytona Stadium. The Wildcats have won two black college football national championships and seven MEAC titles in the history of their football program.
The Bethune–Cookman Wildcats men's basketball team represents Bethune–Cookman University in the sport of basketball. The Wildcats compete in the NCAA Division I and the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). They play their home games in Moore Gymnasium on campus in Daytona Beach,Florida. They are coached by former NBA player and Sacramento Kings coach Reggie Theus. The team has been playing since 1930,having joined Division I along with the rest of the conference in 1980.
The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference baseball tournament was the conference baseball championship of the NCAA Division I Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. In its final edition in 2022,all four MEAC baseball teams participated in the double elimination tournament at Marty L. Miller Field in Norfolk,Virginia. The winner of the tournament received an automatic berth to the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship. The automatic bid was granted beginning in 1994.

Mervyl Samuel Melendez Sr. is a Puerto Rican baseball coach and former third base and as a relief pitcher. He played college baseball for the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats from 1993–1996. He then served as the head coach of Bethune-Cookman (2000–2011),the Alabama State Hornets (2012–2016) and the FIU Panthers (2017–2022).
