Seeds of Iblis is a black metal band presumably from Iraq that started in 2011.
Seeds of Iblis was started in 2011 by a female Iraqi black metal musician Anahita, who is also the frontwoman of Janaza which is believed to be the first female black metal artist from Iraq. [1] All pictures presumably portraying the band members have turned out to be fake which led metal music webzine Metalilluminata argue the band's origin as a hoax. [2] [3] [ better source needed ]
The group consists of bassist/vocalist Anahita, guitarists Epona and Mohammad as well as drummer Jebrael. Former musicians include drummer Younes and guitarist Yousef. It is rumoured that the group consists of two female and two male musicians. [4] The group had troubles finding a label to release their EP but eventually signed a deal with Unmerciful Death Productions. [5]
The first release of the group is an EP entitled Jihad Against Islam which was released via French underground music label Armée de la Mort, followed by another EP in 2012 called The Black Quran released via Hammer of Hate. The band's debut album Anti-Quran Rituals was released in 2013 under Unmerciful Death. After a seven year long period of silence, the group released their second album Morbid Muhammad via Chinese label Pest Productions.
The musicians take up anti-Islamic themes and motives. The group takes up some kind of Islamic satanism, some lyrics hail Iblis, a demon in the Quran who is said to have fallen away from God.
Black metal is an extreme subgenre of heavy metal music. Common traits include fast tempos, a shrieking vocal style, heavily distorted guitars played with tremolo picking, raw (lo-fi) recording, unconventional song structures, and an emphasis on atmosphere. After a period of turmoil concerning their line-up, they went on to add gothic-style instruments such as violins, a female vocalist, and synthesizers to their music.
Beherit is a Finnish black metal band from Rovaniemi. The band was formed in 1989 by Nuclear Holocausto Vengeance, Jari Vaarala and Sodomatic Slaughter, with the purpose of performing "the most primitive, savage, hell-obsessed black metal imaginable". "Beherit" is the Syriac word for Satan. Through the uncommercial nature of their music, visuals, and live performances, the band quickly attracted a cult following. Besides the "raw" sound, the band's music is noted for its avant-garde side and emphasis on atmosphere. Beherit are now regarded as a pioneer in their genre.
Jihad is the debut EP and release by American nu metal band Otep. It was released on June 19, 2001, by Capitol Records. It is the only Otep release to feature guitarists Traver Marsh and Dave "Spooky" Aguilera, who were fired from the band shortly after the EP's release.
Krisiun is a Brazilian death metal band, founded by brothers Alex Camargo, Moyses Kolesne (guitars) and Max Kolesne (drums). Since its formation in 1990, the group recorded two demos, Evil Age in 1991 and Curse of the Evil One in 1992, and self-released an extended play (EP) titled Unmerciful Order in 1993. After signing with Dynamo Records, Krisiun released the debut full-length Black Force Domain in 1995, followed by Apocalyptic Revelation, in 1998. They signed with major label Century Media in 1999, releasing a further ten studio albums.

Erik Rutan is an American heavy metal musician and producer from New Jersey. He is the guitarist and lead vocalist of death metal band Hate Eternal and lead guitarist for Cannibal Corpse, who he fully joined in 2021 after acting as a fill-in guitarist during their 2019 tour. Rutan has also spent time with Morbid Angel and Ripping Corpse. When not performing, Rutan operates his own recording studio in Florida called Mana Recording Studios.
Morbid Tales is the debut record by the Swiss extreme metal band, Celtic Frost, released in November 1984. It was originally released in Europe on Noise Records as a mini-LP with six tracks, while the American release by Enigma/Metal Blade added two tracks, bringing it to the length of a regular studio LP. The band retrospectively refers to the LP release as the band's debut studio album.
