Gwenllian Seren Thorne (born 3 November 2003) is a British sports shooter who won two medals at the ISSF Junior World Cup in Granada. [1] She is the British Junior Women's record holder for both Qualification and Finals in the 10 metre air rifle event.

Career

Thorne began shooting as a teenager. In 2021, she was the top ranked Welsh athlete in the British Shooting Schools Rifle Championship. [2] She placed third in the National Finals. [3]

In 2022, Seren was selected to represent Wales at the Commonwealth Shooting Federation (European Division) Championships in Cardiff. She finished 7th in the Women's Air Rifle. [4]

In December 2023, she set a new British Junior Record of 621.8 at the Welsh Airgun Championships in Cardiff. [5] [6]

In February 2024, she won a silver medal in the Air Rifle at the 2024 ISSF Junior World Cup, setting a new British Junior Finals Record. [7] [8] [9] The next day she won a bronze medal in the Air Rifle Mixed Team with teammate Aston Upton. [10] [11] At the end of February 2024, she became the British Junior Women's Champion at the British Open Airgun Championships.

In 2019 she became Britain's most successful female rifle shooter of all time, winning five World Cup medals. She also became the first British Woman to rank World #1 for the 50m Rifle Three Position event and became European Champion in the 300m Rifle Prone event with an equal World Record score.

Mehuli Ghosh is an Indian sport shooter, supported by OGQ. She represents India at international junior shooting championships across the world. In 2018, at the XXI Commonwealth Games held at Gold Coast, Australia, she won a silver medal in Women's 10m Air Rifle after a shoot-off with Martina Veloso. Arjun Babuta is an Indian sport shooter, supported by OGQ. He is from Chandigarh who competes in the 10 meter air rifle events. Arjun has been a part of the Indian Shooting Team since 2016. He has represented India at the ISSF Junior World Cup 2016(Suhl), ISSF Junior World Cup 2016(Gabala), ISSF Junior World Championship 2017(Suhl) and the ISSF Junior World Cup 2018(Sydney).

He is the only Indian shooter to win a gold medal in ISSF World Championship, ISSF World Cup, Youth Olympic Games, Asian Games and Asian Air Gun Championship. He broke his own world record with a score of 245.5 and claimed gold in Junior Men 10m Air Pistol at 2018 World Championship in Changwon, Korea.
