Sergei Babenko (born 19 September 1961) is an Estonian retired professional basketball player who played mostly at the shooting guard position. His most notable achievement as a member of the Soviet Union national team was the winning of the silver medal in the 1987 EuroBasket competition. [2] He was also a member of KK Kalev, who won the USSR Premier Basketball League in 1991. [1] He was 6th in EuroBasket 1993 with Estonia national team.

The Estonia men's national basketball team represents Estonia in international basketball matches. They are controlled by the Estonian Basketball Association. The team competed in their first international tournament at the 1936 Olympic Games. Estonia has also qualified for the EuroBasket six times overall, with their best results coming in 1937 and 1939. However, after 1939, Estonia halted national team activities due to the occupation of the Baltic states during World War II. Estonia would later rejoin FIBA in 1991, after regaining independence from the Soviet Union.

Gert Kullamäe is an Estonian basketball coach and a former professional basketball player who currently coaches Estonian team BC Pärnu Sadam. Kullamäe mostly played at the shooting guard position and was a great 3-point shooter. As a player he is a seven-time Estonian Champion and also a Soviet Union, Lithuanian, Belgian and Dutch champion.

Valmo Kriisa is an Estonian former professional basketball player. He played at the point guard and shooting guard positions. Kriisa started his senior club career with "KK Tartu" team in 1990 and after 96–97 season he moved to "Nybit". He spent the 2000–01 season in Sweden with Södertälje BBK. Then Kriisa returned to Estonia, signed for two seasons with "BC Kalev" and won the Estonian Championship titles in 2002 and 2003. On seasons 2003–2006 he played for the Dutch Eredivisie team Hanzevast Capitals. During this period he won the Dutch Championship in 2004. After three seasons in The Netherlands, Kriisa came back to Estonia and joined BC Kalev/Cramo. He spent three seasons with Kalev winning one Estonian Championship. In 2007 he was named the Estonian Basketball Player of the Year. Kriisa spent the 2009-10 season with BC Rakvere Tarvas helping the team to the Estonian league finals for the first time. Though Tarvas lost to Tartu Ülikool/Rock, Kriisa was named the KML Most Valuable Player. In the 2010-11 season Kriisa played for TTÜ/Kalev. Since 1995, Kriisa is a member of the Estonia national basketball team and was also a member of the Estonian EuroBasket 2001 squad. He is the father of West Virginia University men's basketball player Kerr Kriisa.
