Sergei Fokin (born May 2, 1963 in Moscow, Soviet Union) is a former professional Russian ice hockey player.
Moscow is the capital and most populous city of Russia, with 13.2 million residents within the city limits, 17 million within the urban area and approximately 20 million within the metropolitan area. Moscow is one of Russia's federal cities.
The Soviet Union, officially the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR), was a federal sovereign state in northern Eurasia that existed from 1922 to 1991. Nominally a union of multiple national Soviet republics, its government and economy were highly centralized. The country was a one-party state, governed by the Communist Party with Moscow as its capital in its largest republic, the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic. Other major urban centers were Leningrad, Kiev, Minsk, Tashkent, Alma-Ata, and Novosibirsk. It spanned over 10,000 kilometers (6,200 mi) east to west across 11 time zones, and over 7,200 kilometers (4,500 mi) north to south. It had five climate zones: tundra, taiga, steppes, desert and mountains.

It shares maritime borders with Japan by the Sea of Okhotsk and the U.S. state of Alaska across the Bering Strait. However, Russia recognises two more countries that border it, Abkhazia and South Ossetia, both of which are internationally recognized as parts of Georgia.

He started his career in the Soviet Union in 1983, playing for Crystal Saratov. In 1984 he signed with Spartak Moskva and he stayed with them until 1992, when he moved to Sweden and sign with VIK Västerås HK, where he joined fellow countryman Mishat Fahrutdinov. After two season with Västerås, he signed for another Swedish team, Färjestads BK, a team that he wouldn't leave until 2002. During his time with Färjestad he won three Swedish Championships, 1997, 1998 and 2002. When he left Färjestad, he called it his retirement and he signed with a lower league team Borås HC. But during his first season with Borås was he was loaned to Malmö Redhawks for a couple of games. But these were his last games at the top level. He played two more seasons with Borås HC and in 2005 retired from ice hockey.
HC Spartak Moscow is a professional ice hockey team based in Moscow, Russia. They played in the Tarasov Division of the Kontinental Hockey League during the 2013–14 season. However, the team did not participate in the KHL league for the 2014–15 season because of financial issues, but rejoined the league prior to the 2015–16 season as members of the Bobrov Division.

Västerås IK is an ice hockey club from Västerås, Sweden. The team is currently playing in the second-tier league in Sweden, Hockeyallsvenskan. Västerås IK played 12 seasons in the top Swedish league Elitserien before the club went bankrupt and merged with the junior club, which changed name to VIK Västerås HK in 2005. In 2018, after playing a year in tier three, Hockeyettan, the club changed it name back to the old name Västerås IK.
He represented Russia in four Hockey World Championships.
