In 2010, Wierson won an Emmy award for the documentary film Back Door Channels: The Price of Peace featuring former U.S. President Jimmy Carter and his work to bring peace between Israel and Egypt. Wierson first appeared on the national stage as a senior political advisor to former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Secrets of New York is an American documentary television series created by Arick Wierson and presented by Kelly Choi. The series premiered on February 2, 2005 and is produced by NYC Media, the official public broadcast service of New York City. The show won six New York Emmy Awards in 2007 and five in 2008. Secrets of New York airs on WNYE-TV, WNBC and on PBS stations nationwide and has been recognized for its approach to the television documentary format. Each episode describes an aspect of the history of New York City, ending with one obscure fact presented as a "secret".
The Bridge is an American documentary television series chronicling the history of hip hop in New York City. The show airs weekly on WNYE in the New York City area. The show got its start in 2005 when NYC TV acquired broadcast station WNYE.

He was the campaign manager for former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg's 2020 presidential campaign. Previously, Sheekey served as head of government relations and communications at Bloomberg L.P. and as chairman of Bloomberg Government. Sheekey also previously served as deputy mayor for government affairs for the City of New York under Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg. He is credited with managing Mayor Bloomberg's three successful campaigns for Mayor of New York. In March 2020, the Atlantic called Sheekey "one of the sharpest political minds of his generation."
Maya D. Wiley is an American lawyer, professor, and civil rights activist. She has served as president and CEO of The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights since May 2022. Wiley served as counsel to New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio. She chaired the Civilian Complaint Review Board (CCRB) from 2016 to 2017. She was an MSNBC legal analyst from August 2018 to January 2021. Wiley ran in the 2021 New York City Democratic mayoral primary, placing third.
Kathryn Wylde is an American executive working in the non-profit industry. Since 2011, she has been the President and CEO of the Partnership for New York City, a non-profit that advocates with the city and state government on behalf of large businesses and their ultimate bottom line. The Partnership is funded almost exclusively through membership donations from over two hundred and fifty corporations in the city. Her work at the behest of these entities has been noteworthy throughout the last decade. In a late 2020 interview, she billed herself "the lone defender of the billionaires at this point". Indeed, the group's latest available IRS filings in Pro Publica show Wylde is a highly remunerated executive in the city and took in over $1.1 million as recently in 2018. This would make her one of the highest paid non-profit executives in the State of New York and is at least five times more than the compensation received by the Mayor of New York City or the Governor of New York State.
Calvert Vaux Park is an 85.53-acre (34.61 ha) public park in Gravesend, Brooklyn, in New York City. Created in 1934, it is composed of several disconnected sections along the Belt Parkway between Bay 44th and Bay 49th Streets. The peninsula upon which the park is located faces southwest into Gravesend Bay, immediately north of the Coney Island Creek. The park was expanded in the 1960s by waste from the construction of the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge, and was renamed after architect Calvert Vaux in 1998. It is operated by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, also known as NYC Parks.
