The Shadegan oil field is an Iranian oil field [1] located in Khuzestan Province, in the south west of Ahvaz City. [2] It was discovered in 1968 and the production was started in 1988. [3] The field has 23 km in length 6 km in width and includes two reservoirs. Shadegan field is currently with 20 active oil wells and crude oil production is about 69,000 barrels per day (11,000 m3/d). [4] The field is owned by National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and operated by National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC). [5]

Ahvaz Field

The Ahvaz Field is an Iranian oil field located in Ahvaz, Khuzestan Province. It was discovered in 1953 and Developed by Anglo-Persian Oil Company. It began production in 1954. Ahvaz field is one of the richest oil fields in the world with an estimated proven reserves around 65.5 billion barrels, and Production is centered on 750,000 barrels per day (119,000 m3/d). The field is owned by National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and operated by National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC).

Gachsaran oil field oil field

The Gachsaran oil field is an Iranian oil field located in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province and is around Gachsaran city or Dogonbadan. It was discovered in 1928 and developed by Anglo-Persian Oil Company. It began production of Crude oil in 1930. The total proven reserves of the Gachsaran field are around 52.9 billion barrels (9394×106tonnes), and production is centered on 560,000 barrels per day (89,000 m3/d). Aghajari oil field

The Aghajari oil field is an iranian oil field located in Khuzestan Province. It was discovered by Anglo-Persian Oil Company in 1938 and developed by National Iranian Oil Company. It began production in 1940 and produces oil. The total proven reserves of the Aghajari oil field are around 30 billion barrels (3758×106tonnes), and production is centered on 170,000 barrels per day (27,000 m3/d). The field is owned by state-owned National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and operated by National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC). Aghajari Gas Injection Project is aimed at boosting production from this aging field.

The Kupal oil field is an oil field located in Khuzestan Province, at 60 km east of Ahvaz City. It was discovered in 1965 and the production was started after installing production facilities in 1970. The total proven reserves of the Kupal oil field are around 5,6 billion barrels. The field has 60 km in length 1.5 km in width and includes two Asmari and Bangestan reservoirs. So far, 55 wells were drilled in this field, 39 wells are active, which produce totally 93,000 barrels per day (14,800 m3/d). The field is owned by state-owned National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and operated by National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC).

Rag Sefid oil field

The Rag Sefid oil field is an oil field located in Khuzestan Province, approximately 6 km in nearest distance from the Persian Gulf, southwest Iran. It was discovered in 1964 and developed by National Iranian Oil Company and began production in 1966. The total proven reserves of the Rag Sefid oil field are around 14,5 billion barrels, and production is centered on 180,000 barrels per day (29,000 m3/d). The field is owned by state-owned National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and operated by National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC).

Bibi Hakimeh oil field

The Bibi Hakimeh oil field is an oil field located in Bibi Hakimeh, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province. It was discovered in 1961. It began production in 1963 and produces oil. Total production of the Bibi Hakimeh oilfield is centered on 120,000 barrels per day (19,000 m3/d). Karanj oil field

The Karanj oil field is an Iranian oil field located 120 kilometres (75 mi) east of the Ahvaz City, in Khuzestan Province. It was discovered in 1963 and the production was started after installing production facilities in 1964. Oil production of Karanj field is about 200,000 barrels per day (32,000 m3/d). The field has a 650-metre thick oil column with a API gravity of 33.9 deg. Its oil reserves have been estimated at 11.2 bn barrels, with gas at about 3.5 TCF. A gas injection project at Karanj was completed in 1995. The field is owned by state-owned National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and operated by National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC).

The Mansouri oil field is an oil field located in southwest Iran and 45km southeast of Ahvaz city. It was discovered in 1963 and the production was started after installing production facilities in 1974. Oil production of Mansouri field is about 110,000 barrels per day (17,000 m3/d). Its oil reserves have been estimated at 3.3 bn barrels. The field is owned by state-owned National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and operated by National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC).

The Abteymour oil field is an Iranian oil field located in Khuzestan Province, in 25 km from west of the Ahvaz City. It was discovered in 1967 and the production was started in 1991. Oil production of Abteymour field is about 48,000 barrels per day (7,600 m3/d). Its oil reserves have been estimated at 12.2 bn barrel. The field is owned by state-owned National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and operated by National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC).

Masjed Soleyman oil field

The Masjed Soleyman oil field is an Iranian oil field located in Masjed Soleyman, Khuzestan Province and in the north of Ahvaz City. It was the first oil field discovered in Iran. The field is a mature super-giant, which produces primarily from the prolific Oligocene Asmari horizons, a formation which underpins Iranian crude oil production. The National Iranian South Oil Company operates the field, as well as a number of other fields in the surrounding regions. Oil production of MasjedSoleyman field is about 5,000 barrels per day (790 m3/d). Its oil reserves have been estimated at 6 bn barrel. The field is owned by state-owned National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC).
