Ondo Town is the trade center for the surrounding region; commercial crops such as yams, cassava, grain, tobacco and cotton are grown, the latter of which is often used to weave a culturally significant cloth known as Aso Oke fabric, which is commonly used to make clothing amongst the local population. She is known for Isoken (2017), Sugar Rush (2019), Brotherhood (2022) and Gangs of Lagos, the first Nigerian original film set to stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. In September 2022, Osiberu's Greoh Studios signed a three-year deal with Amazon to develop and produce original scripted TV series and feature films.
Rattlesnake: The Ahanna Story also known as The Armadas is a 2020 Nigerian thriller action film executive produced by Charles Okpaleke and directed by Ramsey Nouah. It is the official remake of the 1995 Nigerian classic action thriller film Rattlesnake which was directed by Amaka Igwe. The film stars Stan Nze, Chiwetalu Agu, Osas Ighodaro, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde and Ayo Makun in the lead roles. It had its theatrical release on 13 November 2020. It received mixed reviews from critics and ranked 24th overall on the list of highest-grossing Nigerian films of all time at the end of its theatrical run. It is regarded as one of the best Nigerian films of 2020.
Day of Destiny also known as D.O.D is a 2021 Nigerian sci-fi adventure film written and co-directed by Akay Mason and Abosi Ogba. Abosi Ogba made his directorial debut in this film. The film stars Olumide Oworu, Denola Grey, Norbert Young and Toyin Abraham in the lead roles. The film is based on the mysterious adventures of two teenage brothers who travel back in time by 20 years to change the fortunes of the family. It is also the first Nigerian family adventure film as well as Nigeria's first-ever time traveller film and was also the first Nigerian film to be released in 2021.
Lockdown is a 2021 Nigerian psychological thriller film written and directed by Moses Inwang. The film stars Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Tony Umez and Charles Awurum in the lead roles. The film was produced by the collaboration among studios Sneeze Films, FilmOne, iFactory Films and CEM Media Group. The film is based on Nigerian medical doctor Ameyo Adadevoh who was credited with having curbed a wider spread of the Ebola virus in Nigeria by placing the patient zero, Patrick Sawyer, in quarantine despite pressure from the Liberian government. The film had its theatrical release on 28 May 2021 and received mixed reviews from critics.
Two Weeks in Lagos, is a 2019 Nigerian comedy drama film directed by Kathryn Faseghaa dn co-produced by director herself with Sarah Inya Lawal. The film stars Mawuli Gavor and Beverly Naya in the lead roles whereas Joke Silva, Jide Kosoko, Toyin Abraham and Okey Uzoeshi made supportive roles. The film revolves around Ejikeme, an investment banker who comes home from the United States with Lola's brother Charlie to invest in Nigerian businesses, but later make an affair with Lola.
The 2017 Best of Nollywood Awards was the 9th edition of the ceremony and took place in Abeokuta, Ogun State on 17 December 2017. The event was co-hosted by Rahama Shadau and Gbenro Ajibade.
