The Shadow ministry of Tim Nicholls is the Liberal National Party opposition between May 2016 and December 2017, opposing the Palaszczuk government in the Parliament of Queensland. It was led by Tim Nicholls following his election as leader of the party and Opposition Leader on 6 May 2016. Deb Frecklington was the deputy party leader and Deputy Leader of the Opposition.
The current Shadow Ministry was announced on 8 May 2016. [1] It succeeded the Springborg shadow ministry and was replaced by the Frecklington shadow ministry on 15 December 2017.

Lawrence James Springborg is an Australian politician. He led the National Party in the Queensland Parliament from 2003 to 2006 and again in 2008, before becoming the first leader of the merged Liberal National Party from 2008 to 2009. He led the LNP again from 2015 to 2016 before announcing his retirement. He currently serves as Mayor of Goondiwindi Regional Council, having been elected in March 2020.

The First Palaszczuk Ministry was a ministry of the Government of Queensland led by Annastacia Palaszczuk. Palaszczuk led the Labor Party to victory in the 2015 state election, forming a minority government with the support of independent MP Peter Wellington. Her interim ministry was sworn in on 14 February 2015 by Governor Paul de Jersey. The full Palaszczuk Ministry was sworn in two days later. Several changes were made to the ministry on 8 December 2015, with 3 cabinet positions and one assistant ministry added.
The 2020 Queensland state election was held on 31 October to elect all 93 members to the Legislative Assembly of Queensland. The Labor Party was returned to government for a third-term, led by incumbent premier Annastacia Palaszczuk. With 47 seats needed to form a majority government, Labor won 52 seats, including all but five in Brisbane, while the Liberal National Party won 34 seats and formed opposition. On the crossbench, Katter's Australian Party retained its 3 seats, the Queensland Greens picked up South Brisbane for a total of 2, Pauline Hanson's One Nation retained Mirani and independent Sandy Bolton retained her seat of Noosa.

It was led by Lawrence Springborg following his election as leader of the party and Opposition Leader on 14 February 2015. John-Paul Langbroek was the deputy party leader and Deputy Leader of the Opposition. Their elections came after the shock loss of Government for the LNP in which the Premier Campbell Newman also lost his seat of Ashgrove to Labor's Kate Jones.
