Shalim Ortiz (born February 26, 1979) is a Puerto Rican actor and singer.
Ortiz is the son of Dominican singer, actress, and host Charytín Goyco and Puerto Rican actor and comedian Elín Ortiz. Ortiz married Leslie Ann Machado in 2008. The couple welcomed a son in 2009 and later welcomed twins sons in 2016 before divorcing in 2017. [1] [2] Ortiz and Machado divorced in 2017 and Ortiz began dating actress Thanya López in 2018. [3] [4]
In 2007, Ortiz starred as Miguel in the romantic, web-only series "Engaged" and also portrayed Alejandro Herrera on Heroes . [5] His character was killed in the penultimate episode of the second season. He guest starred in an episode of Cory in the House as Bahavian singer Nanoosh. He also is featured in the Hallmark Channel movie Expecting a Miracle , [6] which first premiered January 10, 2009.
Shalim has also guest-starred in mainstream series such as Cold Case (TV series) [7] and CSI Miami.
He was also part of Maneater (2009 miniseries) [8] for Lifetime (TV network) as Pablo.
in 2012 Shalim joined the cast of Una Maid en Manhattan [9] for NBC-Telemundo as engineer Frank Varela who fought for the love of Marisa, played by Litzy
Recently he has been involved in a film project that also stars Robert Miano, Leo Fong and Raymond Forchion. [10]

Qué Angelitos, alternatively known as Los Angelitos, was a Puerto Rican children's television show of the 1980s. The program first aired on 3 February 1986. It was shown on canal 4, and produced by Elín Ortiz. The program was notable for topping "El Chavo del Ocho", a Mexican children's comedy show that had established itself as a favorite in Puerto Rico and the rest of Latin America and which was transmitted in Puerto Rico by Canal 2, off the top of the charts for the hour slot in which both shows competed at. Qué Angelitos aired Monday through Friday starting at 4:30pm via WAPA-TV's Channel 4 for five years. In a survey that included over one-hundred shows, programs and newscasts in Puerto Rico in the 1980s, Qué Angelitos secured the tenth spot based on popularity rankings in 1986.
