Abbey was born in Accra. He played in Ghana for Real Tamale United, [1] Okwahu United, Asante Kotoko, [2] in Germany FC St. Pauli [3] and in Mali for Stade Malien. [4] In Vietnam for Dong A Bank, Song Lam Nghe An, Bình Dương, Khatoco Khánh Hoà and Viettel FC.
