Shania Caroline Robba (born 19 December 2001) is a Gibraltarian footballer who plays for Linense FCB the Gibraltar women's national team as a striker.
Robba began her career at the women's team of Lincoln Red Imps, playing with the boys' team at first until she stepped up to senior women's football at the age of 14. [1] In 2018 and 2019, she attended trials at Everton, [2] FC Twente [3] and Liverpool [4] alongside Red Imps teammate Tiffany Viagas. When Lincoln folded their women's team in 2020, Robba signed for Lions Gibraltar for the 2020–21 season, before heading off to Loughborough University that summer. In 2021 she appeared in the second season of the BT Sport series Ultimate Goal. [5] She remained registered with Lions, making her first appearance of the 2021–22 season on 15 December 2021. [6]
Having represented the Gibraltar U16s in two development tournaments in Malta in 2018 and 2019, [7] [8] Robba made her senior debut for Gibraltar on 24 June 2021 in a 1–4 friendly away loss to Liechtenstein, scoring Gibraltar's first ever goal in a FIFA-sanctioned match in the process. [9]
Shania Robba is the twin sister of Gibraltar netball and futsal international Caitlin Robba, who has also played as a goalkeeper in association football and studies with her at Loughborough University. Shania is also a futsal player, representing Loughborough's women's team with her sister while also earning caps for Gibraltar's national futsal team, scoring twice on her debut against Belgium in a UEFA Women's Futsal Euro 2022 qualifier which ended 3–3. Amanda Jayne Maslin-Barr is an English women's football striker. She scored ten goals in 39 appearances for England after making her international debut in 2001. Barr spearheaded the England attack at the 2005 UEFA Women's Championship, hosted in her native North West. Lincoln Red Imps Football Club is a professional football club from Gibraltar. They play in the Gibraltar Football League, and share Victoria Stadium with all other clubs in the territory. They are the country's record champion with 27 league titles, including fourteen consecutive titles between 2003 and 2016, and in 2014 were the first team to represent Gibraltar in the UEFA Champions League's qualifying stage. In August 2021, Lincoln became the first club from Gibraltar to ever reach the group stages of a European club competition after defeating the Latvian champions Riga FC in the play-off round of the UEFA Europa Conference League.

The Gibraltar women's national football team represents the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar in international women's football. The Gibraltar Football Association is a member of UEFA and FIFA, and is yet to field a women's team in FIFA Women's World Cup or UEFA Women's Championship qualification. However they entered the UEFA Women's Nations League for the first time in the 2025 edition, marking their first official competitive tournament, which will lead to them entering qualification for the 2027 Women's World Cup. Prior to this, the team had largely been restricted to appearances at the biennial Island Games football tournaments, first appearing in the 2011 edition.

Instead of qualifying for the 2021–22 UEFA Europa League, teams placed 2nd, 3rd and the 2021 Rock Cup winners will qualify for the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference League.
The 2020–21 Gibraltar Women's Football League is the fifth season of 11-a-side women's football in Gibraltar since the territory joined UEFA in 2013, and FIFA in 2016. The league had been in operation for a number of years previously, but teams were ineligible for entry to the UEFA Women's Champions League as it was only a 9-a-side tournament. Lincoln Red Imps Women were the reigning champions, but disbanded their women's team in summer 2020.
