Shapur is a rapper from Iran. He is a member of the music group Moltafet [1] and is considered a political rapper. [2] There is not much information available about Shapur's identity. [2]
Shapur was officially introduced as a member of the Moltafet group around 2022. [2] He announced his debut with the group Moltafet by releasing songs such as “Karkareh”, “Ghasem Kojayi”, “Ettela'at” and “Faramoshi” and “Achmaz”, and participating in the album “Haq” by Fadaei. His songs often have political and anti-Islamic Republic themes. [2] [3] Some of his song lyrics, such as those from “Death to the Entire Regime”, were used as slogans during the 2022 Iranian protests. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, also known as the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, is a multi-service primary branch of the Iranian Armed Forces. It was officially established by Ruhollah Khomeini as a military branch in May 1979 in the aftermath of the Iranian Revolution. Whereas the Iranian Army protects the country's sovereignty in a traditional capacity, the IRGC's constitutional mandate is to ensure the integrity of the Islamic Republic. Most interpretations of this mandate assert that it entrusts the IRGC with preventing foreign interference in Iran, thwarting coups by the traditional military, and crushing "deviant movements" that harm the ideological legacy of the Islamic Revolution. Currently, the IRGC is designated as a terrorist organization by Bahrain, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Sweden and the United States.

The 2019–2020 Iranian protests, sometimes known as Bloody November or Bloody Aban, were a series of nationwide civil protests in Iran that took place in 2019 and 2020. After auditioning in New Era television show on 22 March 2019 with "Maybe Paradise", he released the song as his debut single on all platforms and gained recognition among the younger Iranian generation. Hajipour rose to fame after the release of his single "Baraye" which has been described as "the anthem" of the 2022 protests. In 2023, he won the first Grammy Award for Best Song for Social Change at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards for "Baraye".
Toomaj Salehi is an Iranian rapper mainly known for his protest songs concerning Iran's societal issues and the policies of the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran. In July 2023, the Iranian Government sentenced Salehi to six years in prison for participating in the 2022 Iran protests. On 24 April 2024 Salehi was sentenced to death for charges linked to Iran's 2022–23 Woman, Life, Freedom movement, before it was overturned in June 2024.
Ashkan Saranjam, known professionally as Fadaei, is an Iranian rapper, singer, and songwriter. He is member of Moltafet music group. Fadaei's songs often have political and anti-Islamic Republic of Iran themes.
Moltafet is an Iranian rap and hip hop collective. It was founded in 2010 by Hichkas, Mahdyar Aghajani, Fadaei, Reveal and Quf. In the following years, Shapur also joined the group. Over the years, Hichkas and Reveal left the group.
