Sharon Pardo (born 17 February 1971 [1] ) is an Israeli Professor of International Relations and a Jean Monnet Chair [2] ad personam in European Studies at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.

Pardo was born in Haifa. He received his LL.B. (1996) and his LL.M. (1997) from the University of Sheffield's School of Law, and his Ph.D. (2003) from Ghent University, Faculty of Political and Social Studies. His doctoral thesis dealt with “The Euro-Mediterranean Partnership: From European Unilateralism to Regional Regime.”
Pardo is a senior researcher at The Simone Veil Research Centre for Contemporary European Studies – The National Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU). [3]
Pardo served as the chairperson of the Department of Politics and Government at BGU from 2016 to 2018. He is a senior adjunct fellow at the National Centre for Research on Europe (NCRE), [3] University of Canterbury, New Zealand, and a member of the board of the Israeli Association for International Studies (IAIS).
Pardo is a member of the board of the Israel Council on Foreign Relations (ICFR), a member of the International Advisory Council of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, [4] and a Member of the Israel Bar Association. [3] He is the co-editor of Europe and the World book series by Lexington Books. [5]

Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU) is a public research university in Beersheba, Israel. Named after Israeli national founder David Ben-Gurion, the university was founded in 1969 and currently has five campuses: three in Beersheba, one in Sede Boqer and one in Eilat.

The Jacob Blaustein Institutes for Desert Research (BIDR) constitute one of the academic faculties of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU), and are located on BGU's Sede Boqer Campus in Midreshet Ben-Gurion in the heart of the Negev Desert in Israel. The BIDR is home to approximately 70 academic faculty and 90 technical and administrative staff members. In addition, 220 graduate students and 50 post-doctoral scholars, coming from over 30 different countries, study at the BIDR within the framework of the Albert Katz International School for Desert Studies. The BIDR comprises three internationally recognized research institutes: the Zuckerberg Institute for Water Research, the French Associates Institute for Agriculture and Biotechnology of Drylands, and the Swiss Institute for Dryland Environmental Research. It is located in Midreshet Ben-Gurion in the heart of the Negev Desert in Israel and was established in 1999.
Soroka University Medical Center, a part of the Clalit Health Services Group, is the general hospital of Beersheba, Israel, it serves as the central hospital of the region and provides medical services to approximately one million residents of the South, from Kiryat Gat and Ashkelon to Eilat. Chaim (Harvey) J. Hames is a professor of history at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU), in Beer-Sheva, Israel, and the incumbent of the David Berg and Family Chair in European History. On August 1, 2018, he assumed office as Rector of BGU. Hames' research focuses on medieval history, with a particular interest in inter-religious encounters, particularly between Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. Her scholarly activity covers issues of poverty, critical practice in social work, social injustice, Othering and qualitative methodologies. She developed the poverty-aware paradigm (PAP), a social justice framework for practice with people in poverty that has been widely implemented by the Welfare and Social Services Ministry in Israel.
The Zuckerberg Institute for Water Research (ZIWR) is one of three research institutes constituting the Jacob Blaustein Institutes for Desert Research, a faculty of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU). The ZIWR is located on BGU's Sede Boqer Campus in Midreshet Ben-Gurion in Israel's Negev Desert, and hosts researchers who focus on developing new technologies to provide drinking water and water for agricultural and industrial use and to promote the sustainable use of water resources. The ZIWR encompasses two departments: 1. the Department of Environmental Hydrology and Microbiology, and 2. the Department of Desalination and Water Treatment.
